So, I recently broke up with my girlfriend (or she broke up with me, however you want to look at it...) and she wanted me to get a certain tattoo because it'd be sexy and at the same time she prohibited me from getting a tattoo that I always wanted: a pinup girl. Now that I'm single, I plan on getting a pinup girl on my leg holding a pallet of paint and a paintbrush (since I'm a painter), and also I plan on getting a solid black star on my arm or neck. In heraldry, the star is the the symbol of the 3rd born son and the symbol of Divine Purpose, which I like to think I have.

DrunkenWizard got me to thinking...
We've checked out the ages of our members, mostly college age, we know there are 2 or 3 women here, but that we are overwhelmingly men, we even know what part of the world most of us come from. So here's a question about how we look and the image we present to others. I'm kind of interested in other aspects in our overall demographics (sorry, a BA in anthropology/archaeology and a Masters in public history sometimes lead me down strange paths.)
Unless there is a voicing of opinion that its too off topic, pictures might be interesting as well.
I myself have 3 tattoos of cartoons/art work by the late great underground cartoon guru Vaughn Bode.
So what you got on your bods fellow hookers?

i want a tattoo of the leo symbol on my arm and behind my ear and a little buddha behind the other ear and eventually sleeves when im old and dont care about making a good impression
fuck butterflys, lower back tattoos, socal tatoos and peace signs

The extent of mine...

Got my ears pierced at 12, went down to 8 then was retarded and drunk and got down to 4s. Never had any bleeding though, so that good. I've had them at 4 for about 2 years. Since its my last year in school then off into the real world for a job I think I'm staying here.
*btw, sorry its a weird pic. taken with my macbook... Edited by Jeff_T

A star in heraldry is called a mullet, not a star. never mind smile.gif

Ah! That makes sense now.

I talked to the guy who is doing my tats today. He will do the one of Pete for me, and one of Moon playing his huge drum set and make it all retro colors. I can't wait to see what he made up!! Next week I will get the tat of Moon first.

Understand that Moslems and Jews are commanded to not to make PERMANENT marks on the body, tough for weddings and such such as khinga a type of herb is used to beautify the bride and groom at a special party for such. Body pins, earings wherever are allowed by both religions.

Here is the basis of the tattoo I want to get hopefully by the end of september, funds permitting. I will be getting a variation of this image of icarus with most likely burning and tattered wings instead of the red streaks, and a darker set of colors. I am thinking like 5 x 7 between my shoulder blades; what you guys think?

Giant, I think that means he doesn't have any of either. :-)

I have two piercings on each of my ear lobes (although the 2nd hole in my right ear was way off in angle so I let it close up...that's the last time I get a piercing from a booth at the mall. Never again will I go back to piercing guns!) and I recently got back in May two 16g holes on my left cartilage which I plan on once it's healed (which should be in about a month now) to have my spiral earring go through it.

Since my student teaching starts in about 2 months, I'm glad I got the piercing early on so it will heal up before then. I don't think I could attempt to try and cover it up everyday.

I got my Keith Moon Tattoo today. It is not finished yet. 4 hour sitting today! He is going to add another drum and a cool smoky blue background. I promised him no pics until it is finished. I really wanna show what is done now, but I must respect the Tattoo artists request.

OK if you are my friend, I will send you a pic later in a PM. SHHHHHH you can not let this out until it is finished though. I dunno if I should do that either. I need to respect his request. What do you think? He does not want it to hit the net until it is complete.

I think that respecting is his wishes is a noble endeavor, but I think you could tell us what the tat loooks like and such.

When is the tat going to be completed? Sounds awesome, can't wait to see the finished product.

He said in a month he will do the rest when what I had done yesterday heals up, and he will do some more work on Keith and do the rest like I mentioned. How can I get a pic for some to see in a PM without uploading it to any site??

I know what I want....its just a matter of finding someone to draw it up for me.............Ankh with the wings of Isis spanning off of it...cover my whole back.

Might add a pentacle in the loop of the ankh

Symbolizes life, rebirth, and protection
