HookahCaterpillar
Mush, who is the artist that you based your tats off of? I like em alot.
mushrat
HC: The artwork's Vaughn Bode's stuff. He was a drug crazed transvestite cartoonist in the late 60's early 70's. Accidently hung himself during a session of "autoeroticism", as the story goes, in 73 or 74. He was brilliant and VERY disturbed. His art work was in atleast the first 3 heavy metal issues, The first Cracked (a Mad take off), Cavalier mens magazine, Fantasy and Science Fiction and If carried his stuff, High times, illustrated a book for Roger Zelany,...He got around... Check out this link for more drawings: http://www.pha.jhu.edu/~jdavies/bode/deadbone/ and http://www.pha.jhu.edu/~jdavies/bode/

Seandoo
I've got stainless steel snakes in my ears. 6 gauge where they normally sit, 2 gauge around that area to keep them in (or to annoy me when I wake up and they've rotated). Pierced at 14, stretched a year later to 8 over a weekend with a pointed u-shaped piece that kind of was tapered, stretched to 2 three weeks later temporarily using the snakes themselves, and 6 when they sat in place. that's the history of my ears yeah i don't think they should ever actually hurt or bleed when you stretch them. if they do, i'd say you're taking it too fast...never had any of that happen though

coolaskimdeal
abide sent me to this thread so i thought i'd contribute... i have pretty much grown out of my little piercing fetish (for the sake of the working world) but used to have an industrial, 3 holes in each ear with the bottom holes stretched to a 00g, a monroe, a lip, a tongue, 2 nostrils, a septum, and my belly button and nipples. now i pretty much just rock the ear stuff, nostrils and the nipple barbells, and i throw my septum ring in when i'm not working. it's cute i guess: before: now that i'm a grownup: i also have some generic old school tatts because i'm tacky. although it looks like it, i did not get the next one done in prison: i also have swallows on my hips, but that's getting a little too close to being a myspace skank for my taste. uhhhh... yeah. um, bye. kitefanatic
I had my left ear pierced by a red-hot diaper pin when I was 12. Way back when only "stoners" had it done. I also have a couple of tats that were done before there was a parlor on every street corner. (Sigh) It used to be considered quite rebelious! inimicus
No tats, nor piercings.I used to want an industrial wicked badly, say... freshman year of high school. But that quickly passed.I've been toying with the idea of forearm tattoos for the past couple years—the longest I've considered anything to date.Though forearms are tough to cover up, if need be. And considering I have no idea what sort of career I will have in the future... it's a gamble. However, I would like a treble clef on my right wrist/forearm and a bass clef on my left wrist/forearm. Very detailed. Thinking maybe vines and leaf around the treble and vines and thorns on the bass. Almost medieval, methinks. If that goes through, we'll see where the Alto clef fits in. +2 points if you can figure out what middle C is
LestOH!
i have ear piercings.i've got my lobes stretched to a size 00 (double zero)i never had piercings before these, and when i got pierced the first time, i chose to have them pierce me straight to a size 8. they used a hollow needle and you get the picture..sorry to admit, but once my mom permits i plan on getting my lip done (maybe snakebites) and my tongue.[:
Rachael
ooooow for the nipples. like really ooooooooouch. always thought a tatoo would look cool, but i never could think of anything that i would like to have permenantly placed on my body. i make soap, do stained glass, quilt, paint, do tile, play with my motocycles... i have lots of interests and i'm naturally creative and could probably draw something that i would like to have tatooed for at least 6 months. but my mind wanders some and my primary interests change, you know focus changes, with regular frequency and i think i would somehow outgrow the tatoo. i'm a nurse, my husband once said that i should just have a bedpan tatooed on my ass...i laughed, then i slugged him. Zechs
Hm...I currently just have my right eyebrow pierced. It's been in for almost three months and I love it. I had an industrial that was really sexy, but it wasn't healing. Like 18 months passed without it healing and then one day it started bleeding so I had to take it out. It was my second attempt at an industrial. I still want it but I don't know whether or not to give it another try. I've wanted a tat for a while now but haven't figured out of what. Such things need to be seriously thought upon.

thepyrofish
I have nothing right now, but I'm getting my first tat before the end of the summer. Click me That site shows the 10 images I want done as a sleeve down my left arm. Not knowing exactly where my career path will take me, I'm starting with just one (either the first or the ninth) on my upper arm. I will be doing them in full color, though. Like the mini-portfolio examples at the top of that page. I chose these more than 2 years ago and still lke them/want the tatoo, so I figure I'm pretty safe. Plus, they mean something to me, so I doubt I'll regret them. Finally getting close to gettng one has me really excited!!!

thepyrofish
I haven't actually heard most of the bands on that label, but I'm sure they're similar. Although a lot of the music I listen to gets lumped in with a lot of emo music, which I dislike. So who knows.Don't talk about the pain, I would hate myself if I wussed out now. mushrat
since you arent one of the folks who is in it FOR the pain of the creation....and there are plenty of people who believe the pain should be part of the process....My tattooist let me in on a little secret a while back, many of them have Lidocane! It only works for about 5-10 minutes at a time...but on my back tattoo...those 5 minutes every 20 or so were a blessed relief... Don't mean to scare ya off or anything....and hey, once they start its not like you have a real choice about continueing....
DownZero
I don't have any piercing or tattoos. Not exactly my thing... I can imagine myself hating a tattoo after awhile b/c I'm the type of person who doesn't like seeing the same thing over and over again.. so I would get tired or seeing or knowing I have a tattoo... that make sense? haha. But if I were to get one, I would want one that symbolizes something... say a family member or true friend who passed... God forbid.. But something of that nature.
