Washed? Unwashed?

Recommended Posts

I just had to bump this thread back up. I got a tin of Starbuzz Black Grape today at the office that is bloody amazing. Everybody who stopped by my desk opened the tin to keep smelling it. I'm at the end of the bowl and every inhale is still like crushing fresh fragrant grapes in my mouth. Damn but Starbuzz did a fantastic job on this flavor.

Thanks for the recomendation, I've been on a search for the greatest grape or grapeish flavor, and know the price of entry for starbuzz is worth a lot of their unique or better flavors. I'll definitely try this one out.

On yeah, on my second tin of their Quava - which I'm told taste EXACTLY like a perfect Mediterranean Guava. It's one of those clean fruit flavors that you just keep coming back to.

EDIT: One other thing I forgot to mention..... In my opinion (and as always this is strictly personal) I find washed "premium" shisha like Starbuzz and the Fusion (both old unwashed and new washed) is more stable. The flavor doesn't change from the first bowl to the last in the container. I've never found that to be true of any other brands - not even Tangiers. It's one of the reasons Starbuzz and Fusion continue to sell well. They are also very stable in flavor. Like a flavor or don't like it doesn't matter. The flavor itself won't change - which I think is one of the reasons for their continued popularity despite the substantially higher price.

the fusion guava that i have is 0.3%, the same as tangiers -- is this the older, unwashed fusion?

Yep, they switched to really nice square tins the same time they switched to washed. So if it's in the plastic container inside a box it's unwashed.
