OC4111
I had been using a single layer of foil whe I started smoking hookah about 6-8 weeks ago and I decided to try a double layer yetserday and had a really good session with some AF Vanilla. Does anybody know of any downsides to using a double layer of foil? I'm curious to see what everybody thinks.
Majid
I always use double. It holds more weight so the coals don't touch the shisha too much, helps prevent burned tobacco.
Ninjalex
It makes heat management easier definitely, but then you need a little more heat to get it perfect. It has its pros and cons.
manic007
I prefer two layers. The foil becomes more durable, which means I can reuse the same bit of foil several times!
Snoopy1966
Are you using the heavy duty foil or the regular kind?? I have yet to try the double foil.
OC4111
I'm pretty sure it's heavy duty. I tried it again and it worked out really well. Had some SB X on the beach. Initially, on each of my sessions I would always notice I would start to get a slight tickle or scratch at the back of my throat. When I started doing double foil I didn't notice that scratch. I'm definitely a double foil guy now.

Voski
I single heavy duty. I prefer to double foil regular duty but thats just out of habit. If there ain't enough foil single has no issues.
leadpipecinch21
i've had the same roll of shitty, thin foil for a while and i've had to double layer it...when i'm using heavy duty foil, one layer does exactly the same...
Shrekstafa
Just go buy reynolds wrap heavy duty........... its like a 1.50 for 50ft and its as durable as doublefoil
