Birthday Order

So, my birthday is on may 8th, and I decided to finally go ahead and order my first batch of tangiers. I'm pretty sure I'm going with schnozzberry, and then I'm probably getting some Al Fakher Cherry, Vanilla, and Mint for the party as well. So, I know how to find all of the tutorials and all that, but as of right now I only have a shallow mod bowl and a standard mya, and since the details always seem to be sketchy about this, I'm just going to come right out and ask.

Do you absolutely positively need a funnel/superchief to get a good smoke out of tangiers? Because I'll order one in a minute if you do.
How long is the max. amount I can acclimate it?
When using quicklights with tangiers, is using the "bore a hole through the center of the coal to get more heat because of air movement" a good idea?

No you don't have to get a phunnel bowl. I'm smoking T's with a standard MYA bowl. The trick is to pack the tobacco real tight and leave a hole in the middle. Search the forum, I made a topic about it a while ago and there is some good advice from many people how to do that.
Boring a hole through a QL seems to be a bit too much... Just split it into halves/quarters for even heat distribution, put a windcover on if you need it and it should smoke well. I noticed T's doesn't like heat too much so maybe 1 QL should be enough?
As to the max acclimation time I don't think there is such a thing. As long as you don't leave it out for days and it doesn't dry up, it'll be good to go

Thanks for the info, I'll definitely do a search for your post. I read the "bore a hole" thing a while back in this post. It always seems to heat everything evenly. Even with brands like AF and Rosetta it rarely burns, and on top of that I almost always use a windcover, since the majority of my smoking is done in the car or outside, although, revently I've been inside a lot. Anyway, I'll just experiment with that once I've figured out how to get it right with broken coals. As for acclimation I'll probably just leave it out for the regular time or use rayver's method.

If you got the cash to get a Phunnel then get one! You do not need one, but I like it much better from a Phunnel because all the nice flavors stay inside the bowl. Worth the purchase for sure. You can smoke any tobacco out of it. Happy B-Day in advance. It is always fun to order new stuffs!!

I'm ridiculously excited for Tangiers, whether or not I get it right the first time. I don't know if I'll ever switch to Tangiers exclusively, because I love Al Fakher,Al Waha, Nakhla, and Rosetta are availabe locally (Rosetta Pineapple and Grape Soda FTW), Layalina and Tonic are both great and then I think since Nakhla was my first it'll stay a favorite (no matter how many of you guys hate it).

I have seen countless posts like "Why would you want to smoke Nakhla anyway" Or "Naklha is garbage anyway IMO". Almost all of them are by members with under 20 posts who haven't signed on in ages too. I'm about to go deposit some money in da bank and make my order within the hour. So excited.
I'm ordering MNHookah by the way, since my last big order was from them too. I'm thinking about using some Hookah-shisha rewards points and getting something little too.
