Snoopy1966 Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 OK, so I have been doing some research on opening a lounge here in the Appleton WI and Green Bay WI area. I know there are a few members here the have asked, and I know the must have buddies to smoke with. So here is the question.Ideally it would be great to have a lounge in both cities, too much to handle at once. So where would you go to for a decent lounge with reasonable prices? I live in Appleton now, and I might move to GB this summer. idk yet. I want to stay in Appleton because it is a much better city and my Son has one year left of HS and he already changed HS 2 times. Please talk to your friends and post back what you all think. All input is greatly appreciated, and hopefully I will open a lounge by summer, maybe late spring for a few peoples to get things straightened out as best I can. This is a serious thread, I am not just playing around. This is something I know I want to do and it can fit into what I am capable of doing since I have had 3 neck surgeries and I am unable to do any physical work. No time for school. Need income now! I guess living where I do and drive to GB is an option. It is only 30 miles away. There are so many colleges in this area and I know there is a demand for a cool lounge. If niether one has too many or if yours is way awesome (im talkin like jumbotrons and table dancers) ok jk on that one but anyway if yours is better or there arent too many around than im sure they will drive to whereever. The lounge around here, University of Cincinnati, gets a decent amount of traffic, mainly cause all the colelge kids have to do to get there is walk across th steet. Also does Appleton have any particular areas of town where there are quite a few tourists that like to walk and window shop? Cuase if there is that would also be a good area. There are many palces in GB and Appleton that have many busy streets and peoples looking around. The problem is rent for these buildings though. I would have to make sure if i am going to pay a little more rent that I would be able to make a little money. That would be great if you stopped in if you were in town.OK another question since I did not really think about a walking distance lounge. Do the majority of college students not have wheels then? Green bay would get a lot of people piling in from the north and from the peninsula, when I lived deep up north green bay was supply town. But in the appleton area, you've got a lot of larger surrounding towns in addition to the appleton area.I like appleton more because it's local and I don't like GB much. And I would SO work for you. I like Appleton a lot and I think a lounge would do good here and then eventually branch of to Green Bay. I have some others things going right now, but that will not stop me from opening a Hookah Lounge. I will be playing in a Rock and Roll Band again soon to make a little cash for now, plus it is something that I have been wanting to do also.
