oolatec
No more hookah stuff for me... not for awhile. Totally happy where my collection is at right now... I'm not too sure... I have a few options... not worried about bills, since I'm pretty good with that kinda thing... Either some new work knives (see links below), or a SIG Saur P220 Match SAO. *shrugs* I suppose the wisest investment would be for more work knives (my responsibilities are always changing, and I'm going to need more tools soon), but then again, nothing can beat a new gun either. http://japanwoodworker.com/product.asp?s=J...p;dept_id=13194 http://japanwoodworker.com/product.asp?s=J...p;dept_id=13196 2 essential things for less than 1 fun thing. Anyone got a coin I can flip... P.S. Please, no politics. Let's enjoy this thread instead... Edited April 29, 2008 by oolatec
MechAnt
The Sig is pretty sweet.I love Deba knives! I like Shuns too. For heavy duty use though, can't do wrong with my Henckels or Wusthof's. Edited April 29, 2008 by MechAnt
oolatec
I'm slowly moving away from most of the heavy prep I'm doing for the restaurant... I'll still have my beloved Yoshi that I better be buried with... but a Gyuto (Chef's knife) won't serve me too well where I'm headed at work, hence the Deba/Yanagiba investment possibility. And then there's the SIG... UGHHHH!!!

Not exactly what Mssr Bush is hoping for...JDConsidering that the price of gas is rising quickly (close to $4/gallon, which is a LOT for us here), and the price of groceries is rising fast as well, most average working people are just trying to keep their heads above water, from what I can tell. To think that $300 or $600 is going to change that is just ludicrous. I am personally rather frightened about the state of the economy, it's going from bad to very much worse, and I don't think we've hit bottom yet. Don't even get me started on the government's role in this mess.

If I had to save up in full what it costs to buy a place all the while paying rent I'd never get to call a home mine yet I'd still get to piss all that money down the rent hole. At least I have something as an asset if I take a notion to move, even if it isn't paid off.

I am very glad I bought my house, my mortgage now is about the same that most people are paying for RENT on a one bedroom place!
