ForgetulRobot
Well I am deploying to Iraq this November which means a years worth of income just sitting in a bank until I come home (not much to spend it on over there and I don't own a house, kids, etc.) And on top of that I'm getting the second half of my enlistment bonus untaxed while away. So needless to say I'm going to have a nice chunk of change for when I come home. What I am truley interested in is opening my own lounge when I come home. I'd really appreciate it if someone who has experience could respond or PM me. I'd like to talk in detail about my finances, the process and pointers. I'm full hearted and very interested in this project. Thanks in advance I know everyone here is always willing to throw out a helpful tip or two. -Nickels-
FireMeetsIce
If you got 95k you could take over Neal's place in Las Vegas. Neal is 'The Devils Playground'. 'Mushrat' has a place. 'Boulderkid303' works at a lounge also. Give any of them a shout.

ForgetulRobot
You guys are amazing, Mush your stuff is incredibly helpful. I'm looking forward to having some more serious conversations one on one but I have to survive the big sand box before I really start doing that. aldonb1
Best of luck Nickels! With the money that is sitting I would suggest something other than just a Standard Savings Account. Try to find a good 6-10-12 month CD. Or consider some mutual funds or low to medium risk investments. A little extra money through interest could be handy. I would consider your options though. ForgetulRobot
QUOTE (jaker29902 @ May 4 2008, 02:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>where are you planning on opening your place up?I'm currently looking into potential for Worcester, Park Ave area close to Clark University. I have a long ways away until I come home so I'm really just researching and looking into the idea. Luckily I have plenty of time to do that in a big smelly hot desert. liquidglass
This might not help you while you're playing with the sandbunnies but if you can look around at the hookahs over there, they're insanely cheap, usually handmade, and well constructed. Just a thought.I'll make you a deal , I was in the process of opening a hookah bar as well, so you give me the start up capital and I'll let you take it over when you come back. liquidglass
Now if that was directed at me I'm an honest guy, I'd even draw up the contracts and have them notarized Edited May 5, 2008 by liquidglass
slycedbread
If anyone has any free time, I'd also like to ask a few questions about starting up my own hookah lounge...I'd be located in Texas where no other hookah lounges are within a 50 mile radius so I won't be stealing anybody's business...Thanks guys,Adam
