Hookah_Bob3
You have the right to bitch at me. You have the right to bitch about the government. That's what I'm bitching about. People forget the very government they bash is the one that gives them the freedom to bash
r1v3th3ad
My main reason I bash my gov. is for it trying to be the world police/bully nation...we are wasting our money..its not our problem, don't try to fix it, its up to them to. How many trillion are we in debt now due to our overseas commitments? And look at the problems in the country because of it. Oil is going up, partially our fault, they see we are at war and we depend on oil for this war to continue, so they hike up the prices... And then, look at how many Americans are in debt, this new money return they are doing($300-$600), its supposed to boost the economy, but its just gonna boost loan corporations pockets. Most people I know are spending theirs on debts. Look at how bad inflation is getting. Every since this war, we are, imo, going into an economic depression, and it may become worse than the great depression itself. At least the stock market hasnt crashed yet, too much dependency in foreign industries for that to happen again IMOedit: I am greatful for what freedoms I have left...but things like the patriot act and anti-hate crime legislation is slowing taking everything I have left away. Hookah_Bob3
I agree. Our government is becoming very much a fascist one, and it's "republicans" like George Bush and Dick Cheney that give Republicans bad names (they aren't really republicans, they're exceedingly far-right bordering on fascism, like I just mentioned) and acts like the Patriot Act, as well as all the bans (smoking bans) and now New Jersey is trying to put a tax on fast food (a "sin" tax) to try to regulate our health. Being a world super-power, which no one can claim we aren't, is a two-edged sword. If we do something, we're policing the world. If we don't (i.e. Rowanda) then we're bashed for not doing anything. We do need to change the government, but bashing it isn't going to change anything. Actively seeking to change it (via elections, and only if the general populace stops listening to the polls and vote for who they think is best, though the average American has no idea who'd be best in office because they only listen to what's on the news) is the only true way to make a real difference in the direction our country is going
r1v3th3ad
I think the elections are a waste anymore..I believe in the popular vote because its what we want, but thats not what elects people, its the "educated people's vote" that does it, which is bs. I think bashing can be a bad thing, but when we bash, they hear it and know what they need to change because we are pissed...when we just say "Gee golly, I don't really like this patriot act because...." instead of speakin in anger, they don't listen. Violent people only listen to violence, that been my experience.I do agree with you.It shouldn't be at the point where we have to "hate" our government or bash it. I wish it was nicer and I could be proud to say "God Bless America", but it'll be a long time until I am comfortable saying that again.

However, they are the hippy everyone can love each other and live in a communal peace without government liberals. I’m a realist. I believe man isn’t perfectly cooperative, and that a government is a necessity. I also don’t think mere market forces can effectively regulate man. ZenSilk
The record biz is just a bunch of fat worthless guys and tight-pants wearing emos who sing like chicks anyway...Why should we give them money? Radiohead made an exorbitant amount of money releasing their album for free to whoever wanted it. Yet some people thought "Hell, these guys fucking kick ass and have only made good music, let's give them money and suport what they do so I can keep hearing new stuff rom them in the future". Same with Nine Inch Nails, Trent knows what's up.So in a way it's a form of not-so-natural selection. The best Musicians survive based on their fan-base and how amazing their music is, the rest of the musicians, who are obviously total shit that no-one would ever pay for, die a slow death. I love their old stuff, it's artistic and well-presented. But St.Anger???? Maybe i'm not into metal enough, but ewww. But does it make sense to let the Great Musicians survive and the shit musicians die? I think it does. Now for those of you out there thinking "But what would I do without Panic at the Disco????" (yes they got rid of the ! ), your gonna have to take that fall for all humanity, you Hero.
