David
As I've been searching through hookahs i wanna buy, I can't stop wondering about the difference between a Hookah from Lebanon, and an Egyptian one.. Anyone care to share?
yashman19
I'm not exactly sure what classifies a hookah to be Lebonese, but I know that the difference between an egyptian hookah and a syrian hookah is mainly from the bowl configuration. On a Egyptian hookah, the bowl will typically go OVER the top of the stem, and on most syrian hookahs, the bowl fits INSIDE the stem. Then, the hookahs from these different regions contain different styles whether it be the shape of the chamber, or style of the stem.

mushrat
Quick plus or minus on the bowl configurations: Egyptians, the extra syrup drips down the OUTSIDE of your stem/shaft where you can see it and have to clean it up. Syrian, the excess syrup runs back down the inside, where you have to make sure you take the extra time to clean it after EVERY use, you just don't have to see it. While there are more places getting syrian style bowls, and you CAN buy an adapter for about 10/12 bucks, most places sell a wider variety of egyptian configuration bowls.
