barrenwizard
Hi I'm using AF Strawberry and this is what usually happen (Yea, its not the first time) whenever I smoke this particular flavour. It is wet though when I bought it, same for every other AF Strawberry. The question I'm asking is, will this effect our hookah session? Is it bad or good, or just normal? Thanks. Just curious, nothing much about this scenario anyway.
r1v3th3ad
wont affect...might bring more flavor.its the molasses dripping down from the bowl, through the stem, into the water

thecoalition
agreed a phunnel will stop that from happening. its really just because as the shisha heats up the glycerin becomes more running so it all just goes down the bowl into the water

Alademuerte
I use a phunnel for my Tangiers, but anything else I dont (mainly because my mod doesnt fit my small phunnel bowl, it only fit the medium one)But it doesnt bother me at all.. I just know I have to clean the stem and all when I'm done for the evening.
Johnny_D
Fanboi's of anything FTL.Yes, a funnel MIGHT make things better. However it might not either way it's not really a problem - I've not used my funnel in months and yes i get a bit of drippage, but nothing to get excited about.JD

DarkParade
i wouldnt worry about it but make sure you change your water out before you start smoking another flavor unless you think the 2 flavors might mix well
ilikemyusername
funnel fanboy? - eh whatever. when you consider that the stuff dripping down into his water is the same stuff that makes smoke and flavor(not that i'm saying its not flavorful, i don't even use a funnel) its look, its just a solid idea...damnitt

Scoop
apparently helping someone by telling them about a far superior product is being a fanboy? I think if you aren't using a phunnel you are having some sort of mental disconnect.the juices that are dripping out are your thickness and flavor components, why would you want them to leak out.look at the shape of the funnel, if you aren't overpacking or overheating severely, all the juices will stay in the bowlthe juices leaking into the water also cause your stem to get dirty and potentially hard to clean.the juices (food coloring specifically) will stain your vase (assuming you can see it, or care) and it is extremely hard to removeall logical, simple reasons why not using a phunnel is insanity. r1v3th3ad
phunnels are nice, but not far superior imo, my best sessions come with a mod or traditional bowl

boulderkid303
I agree with scoop, phunnels are just down right awesome. It keeps everything so clean and I can smoke forever.
Scoop
theres a difference between you not smoking for hours, and phunnels being a superior smoke. i think the point is missed in this case. i still cant see how a traditional bowl where the juices leak out is a better smoke lol...whatever, i'll stick to what been true and tested for me
leadpipecinch21
because the small amount of leakage that occours isn't enough to warrant the extra tobacco used. maybe it's just my style and opinion...

There is also the scalli mod. I agree, though. I have my phunnel, and the difference has never been particularly obvious. I basically choose which one to use based on how long I want to smoke, although I always use it when I'm messing w/ Tangiers.
ilikemyusername
okay, so can we say that for the sake of argument, that a funnel would be better for a juicier tobacco like he's talking about and a traitional/mod for a drier tobacco, drier tobacco's dont tend to get so runny as the juices are pretty much stuck to the tobacco. i always use the "phaking the phunnel with phoil" method when i smoke starbuzz because when it gets hot all my "goodness" goes down the pipe (pun intended)
DrShisha
Anything that looks like im about to murder someone then using a phunnel would make sense. otherwise my tray would look like a bloodbath in literally 10 minutes. If i was going to smoke nakhla al waha al amir, id just pack a normal egyptian, as i think they tend to smoke better that way. It just depends and its definately about personal taste. As with most things in life! What floats your boat, might sink someone elses.
