Bulldog_916
I havent seen any threads mentioning that particular problem lately. But then again people havent been buying them with a flood of people going to coconara. I think it's been fixed for the most part, but dont quote me on it. NickReppinThe909
if your worried about a bad box of exoticas then just get a bag of diamante fingers in the red bag IMO they are the same thing just round instead of square and i have never had a problem with them other than the massive amounts of ash like the exoticas but thats why they are my back up coals when i run out of cocos
Scoop
diamante bags? o_O those things are terrible. the exoticas last forever and i never ash them (for the whole time), the diamantes are fucking gross and need soooo much ashing, the heat completely dissipates. Bulldog_916
I agree on the Diamante naturals, but the Silver Lite coals are among the best Japanese style coal I have used so far. Exoticas are the best natural coal I have used by far.
Majid
QUOTE (Scoop @ May 5 2008, 05:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>i start the golden canarys on each other and dont even worry about the silver. That's a big plus over coco coals, you can't throw another on your bowl real quick.. AzZ
Got some Golden Canary coals with my order from HC. They are great because they are very quick to light with my torch but i did notice a slight taste in the first few minutes. Coco's are great because they don't have any taste at all but the only drawback is they take much longer to light (compared to the Jap. coals). I would by the canary's again simply because they are great when you need more coal and can't be bothered to light another Coco Nara.

There will be no taste............
khearts
QUOTE (SimplexCoda @ May 5 2008, 06:18 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>YA like the clean burning-ness of cocos, but i have one problem with them. No matter how much i light them. Typically i light them till they are red on one side and flaming, then flip do the same thing then flip till flaming then repeat. it is always all red when i get them off then when i put them on the hookah the bottom portion of the coal kinda dies out so i have to flip them over pretty often so that they stay going.I get that with all my coals, even instants go dark on the bottom when you put them on the bowl. Scoop
to be honest. theres no way coco naras dont impart a taste. after going through a bowl with them, then a bowl with exoticas and golden canary, both exoticas and coco nara definitely impart a taste. the coco nara is very specific and not bad. the exotica taste isn't very noticable. the golden canary taste is non existant. Majid
I'll have to look for these, lighting cocos is a bitch sometimes. If the price is right and they last long enough i might switch over.
