They were trying to create a carbon copy here in the US but I think the plans fell through. I read rumors of Adam Corolla co-hosting with someone else but they were rumors. The videography has definitely drastically improved over the past few years.

is the best show in the world i have been watching it for 4 years (since i started driving) and i wonder why american tv cant produce a show as amazing as top gear the filming and photography is just mind blowing

they can`t even build a decent car, let alone produce a good show about cars.

anyway, top gear rules.

i really enjoy top gear. did anyone catch the somewhat newer one where they went looking for the best road in the world with the gallardo, porsche, and aston? christ those cars sounded incredibly sexy, and some of the roads were incredible.

god i wish i was in europe, so i could hit some roads like that.

Another good one, was where Hammond raced Jeremey to London ( I think it was London). And Jeremy got to drive the bugati veiron and hammond had to fly in a old plane and a few other means of transport......that was a good episode....I love that bugati!! wub.gif

veyron FTL ugliest car ever and the Koenigsegg CCX will kill it any day of the week its lighter, has a lower drag coefficent and a bigger tire contact patch (better traction) plus it looks 100 billion times better. but i will take my dads 430CS over both anyday of the week just because of pure heritage

yeah, last week was the last new episode of the season. you shoulda caught the first one though, it had the 650w12 GTI on it. surprisngly, for being such a high horsepower car, it only did like 2/3 a second faster lap than the R32...

Oh thanks for clearing that up! I saw the gti one. The car couldn't turn for shit! Plus it was rwd

yeah, i really think vw could have done a better job on that car...i mean for chrissake, just take the r32 suspension for awd and indepenent rear, and stiffen it up a bit to turn. though, i doubt they ever really intended for it to be taken to a track, so they've got that excuse...

haha, most definitley...the 1.5 mill price tag is a little intimidating though...

Indeed that is...but hey maybe we will strike it rich someday biggrin.gif

I think I also once heard, that every bugati veiron that gets bought is a loss for the company because production costs are so high....not sure how true it is though?

100% true. Each car costs 5-6 mil to produce.
IMO thats the reason they are rolling out limited editions and such, to recoup some cost cuz they are sure feeling it in todays market.

100% false they cost around $550,000 for VW to produce the production loss is only for bugatti because they have to pay VW to produce and assemble each one of the cars so VW is making a profit but bugatti is not. and if you think about it why would a company take a 2-3 million dollar hit on a ugly ass car like the veyron ?
