Heading To Chicago Next Week

Recommended Posts

Usually fly to chicago about 4 times a year to visit family and cram in some cubbies games. My girlfriend says its for me to eat like a pig and gorge on Giridanos, gyros & italian beefs, . . . . which is true. But i figured i can hit a hookah bar and relax a bit since my cousins smoke too.

So anyone know of any hookah lounges that have Tangiers?? Im wonderin if i can hit one up and bug the guys "How ya guys packin it?" And get a chance to really smoke a well packed bowl of tangiers.

The Owner and the manager are both great guys and really down to earth. I had a great time there. they will even let you bring your own booze. for a fee of course Edited by zachslusser

There was a Giridanos in FL when I was there this past month. Brought back some great memories of what pizza is supposed to taste like. Being born and raised in Chicago I miss the food. A place in Appleton opened up that has the Chicago style hotdogs and the whole nine yards, but no pizza...
When the pizza guy dilvered the pizza to me and gave it too me, I was like I yeah.... now this is a pizza! The thing weighs like 6 lbs!!

I wish I could make it down there to meet you. Maybe on another trip I will go watch the Cubbies with you. I was a bleacher bum hard core in the 70' and 80's

Exactly snoop. There is something to say when your pizza is + 5lbs. Deepdish Deeelish!!

I actually mapped Appleton and saw its almost 3.5 hours drive up there. Thats gonna be a bit hard for me to explain to the GF. Haha.

Me and my brothers are gonna be heading back to chicago to visit family, as well as hit some cubbies games. Snoop your MORE than welcome to join in, and the first round is on me.

Cheers mate

No "might" about it. You have to. HAVE TO. And yeah... I've met Kuma on a few occasions. He's a cool pooch. smile.gif

The draw? Belgian beer, heavy metal, and the best burger you will ever have in your life. Take that to the bank.

Best to go as early as possible though. Last time I went was with a buddy of mine. We were there 15 minutes before they opened on a Sunday... we were first in line, right at the door. Literally 30 seconds after sitting down at the bar (the best place to be IMO) the place was full.

Check out Ali Baba's on Lawrence for a more authentic Hookah Cafe experience, Nefertiti is on the same street too! For food, Sphinx in Niles can't be beat. Oh I've also heard good things about Fumari in Schaumburg. Yes I'm from MN born & raised but Chi-town holds a special place in my heart, I love that city!
