Rush
Hello everyone. This looks like an awesome hookah community, glad I found it! I am relatively new to hookah (2 months now) and I am looking to finally purchase a good, genuine hookah. I'm torn between the Al Fahker hookah, and the J&R hookahs. Both of them look excellent. If anyone has any suggestions on either of these, I'd love to hear them!Also- I'm interested in purchasing a two hosed hookah. Not sure which is best.thanks everyone! Victim026
The AF hookahs get great reviews, as for the J&R's I wouldn't mention them anymore... They got themselves into quite a bit of trouble on these forums and they are no longer welcome here. Any paticular reason why you want a two hoser? goon
well everyone seems to be going on bout mya QT. so i suggest gttting that.even tho its not 2 hosed im sure theres an adapter.
Victim026
2 hosed Mya QT's can be picked up from Neal @ Worldhookah.com. Although honestly I wouldn't suggest a two hoser for your first hookah. Keep It simple and get something will produce results, a Mya Acrylic Perhaps. Or a MZ/KM for a sturdy and reliable Egyptian hookah.
oolatec
Egyptian: Magdy Zidan or Khalil MamoonSyrian: Just about any Syrian will do...
Victim026
Ooaltec is on the right track, if this is gonna be your first get a nice standard egyptian thats a 1 hose. It'll teach you what you need to know about getting your hookahs right and will minimize things that could go wrong. Not to mention there will be an infinite wealth of information to help you out with issues concerning a MZ or KM on these forums. For a specific hookah suggestion check out a KM Hybrid from worldhookahs if your willing to shell out $100. If you wanna get a MZ which would only be about $50 then pm me and I'll point ya in the right direction.
NickReppinThe909
i would go with a horas a or a km hybrid or like victim said an acrylic mya would be great (if you have the cash order $200 worth of stuff from hookah-shisha.com and you get a free acryilic MYA)

I really had no way of knowing that though, this is my second time on this forum.I want a two hoser because both me and my lady friend like to hookah and sometimes its nice to have a hose all to yourself QUOTE (Victim026 @ May 9 2008, 05:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Ooaltec is on the right track, if this is gonna be your first get a nice standard egyptian thats a 1 hose. I probably should have included in my post that this will be my second hookah purchase. The first one was just a cheapie and ended up breaking..I will definitely check out these "KM" hookahs. Never heard of them, but then again, I haven't really heard of almost any of these haha. Thanks again guys. I'm reading each post and taking your advice! Is it good? I was using it for a month or so. How does compare to the AF tobacco?
NickReppinThe909
i put AF above everything just because it is really consistent (aside from ketchup/grape) and easy to smoke and maintains flavor a long time. but if you want ALOT of flavor then go for fantasia but IMO AF is the king of shisha until i am sent something that sways me otherwise EDIT: fumari is good stuff too sorry i got sidetracked but im a AF "fanboy" Edited May 10, 2008 by NickReppinThe909
manic007
I would be careful about buying an AF hookah. People who DONT own one think they're awesome. Some people who DO own them think they're brillian. I'm one of those people who DOES owns one, and dosesn't think they're awesome. Here's some pictures of my Al-Fakher 36" hookah:http://www.hookahforum.com/index.php?showt...mp;#entry209678It has really poor workmanship. The hookah didn't smoke well when coming out of the box. The grommet connecting the stem to the base was APPAULING! I ended up replacing it with a Mya grommet and that works super well! I also had to put a fiber washer underneath the top connecting piece to seal up a leak, again something AF should have done.I dont want to say that the AF hookah is totally rubbish! I got mine to smoke quite well, but I've been smoking for years and can spot a problem asap. It appears that most people have to tinker with the AF to get it smoking well, wereas Mya's smoke fine out-of-the-box, and for a newbie that's exactly what you're looking for!You notice that the base on my AF is partically bad. It could be as some people pointed out that I got a bumed hookah and everyone else got a fault-free one. That could be possible, but it could also be possible that many who own an AF simply dont admit to it being poorly constructed. Instead concentrating on how well it looks from afar!I dont want to scare you, but if you do order from alfakheronline.com I suggest you inspect the hookah before accepting delivery.I would stick to buying a Mya or ideally a Khalil Mamoon (KM)Have a look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4ucownikpQ (codename067 is a regular on this forum)EDIT: Remembered, KM's dont do two hose pipes! So you might be better off buying a Mya. But in my opinion multiple hosers are over rated. Edited May 10, 2008 by manic007
ryno
I know you said you were looking for a 2 hose, in which case, most people here would tell you to buy a Mya. But if you could get by with a one hose, a KM trimetal is another great hookah.ps, i like the maddox avitar
