Please read the rules - we don't use the word b--g around these parts smile.gif

I think your worrying about nothing personally. If they are a glass blower, let them blow glass!!!! It's a vase at the end of the day tongue.gif You could be putting flowers in it.

sorry i didnt know that i apologise for saying it i will read them and try not to break anymore rules

Cool.

Talk to the local glass blowers though - I'll bet they will be ok.... The Vase of a hookah is vastly different to the other items that they might be unwilling to blow... Just a thought smile.gif

try Neal at The Devil's Playground(www.worldhookah.com)...I remember him mentioning he knows people, but it would cost ya. I don't know if they would either, but you could hit up the guys at MNHookah...
Also, I know Questions has a blower since he is having a new glass bowl made for the market...those are the only people that I know of who are in that area of expertise...other than that, only local blowers...back home there is one I know, but they are associated with nh, stuff I wouldn't want to be associated with..."hey, thats a nice vase, where'd you get it?""I bought it from john doe""awe man, thats rad, I heard he makes killer NHDs"...see what I mean...

I have some experience with lampworking, but I can tell you to be ready to fork over the dough for a project like that. The only means I can think of is coilpotting the base and shaping it, and that's a lengthy process without a machined lathe.. You're going to need someone who's blown for 10-15 years, and that'll easily fetch you a bill of $150-$300 depending on how nice a base you're looking for. Your cheapest option will be to find someone who has experience with the ol' glory hole or a lathe. That'll ensure a clean look, but still, $$$.

Where are you from? I might know someone in that area. Edited by Santino

Oops sorry I didn't see you say NY. Yeah, you're dead on. Not many blowers out on the east coast at ALL. I know some really good ones in Indiana, Illinois and Ohio, but that's about as far east as I've met.

Depending on where in NY you are you should be able to find someone very easily. I can think of 2 glass blowers and one factory in the Hudson Valley alone.
