Questions About A New Hookah (pics)

Recommended Posts

So, an old friend the other day pops in with a large garbage bag and tells me they have something for me.

I didnt ask where they got it from or any of that but after a full cleaning it smokes really nice and all that jazz, but now i'm just curious on any info anyone can give me on it.
like what kind of hookah, etc.

I'm just so used to my mini pumpkin, this is a nice change.

I know it's syrian but that's about it.

anyway, any info would be nice. thanks.

turns out it was a trade in one of those 'you cut me a deal, i'll cut you one' sort of thing.
so that wasn't any damn help haha.

I also need a new vase seal for it.

using damp rolled up paper towel up just wont cut it.

Any idea's for a beter more stable alternative?
because it leaves my stem with a slight tilt and that's never safe.

Get some MYA bands from HC to build up your stem grommet and you can buy a few stem grommets that are different sizes also. If you get some really good tape, put it around the metal first, then put your stem grommet on. Plumbers tape would work too I think and not be sticky.

Oh yes, and that is a beautiful Hookah you have there. Definitely Syrian.

I recently got a hookah with abse desgin simlialr to that (http://www.hookahforum.com/index.php?showtopic=21238&st=0&p=249954&#entry249954)

Someone suggested it is an Ager Syrian, so thats my best guess on it. Do you have any pics on how the stem comes apart? Mine comes completly apart in 3 pieces, with an aluminum rod for the down stem. Also on the heart of it, how many holes are there?

edit: almost forgot, that thing is beautiful! Edited by ryno

it also came with a couple hoses, but no nice velvet Mamouns or anything.
just an Egyptian cobra w/ sweater and a pretty little mya hose (or atleast from the typical ones I'm used to)

as for it coming apart:
It might, but each of the spheres spins around the rod when you try to unscrew the top piece,
so i cant get enough of a grip to get a feel for it loosening at all.

besides she's far to pretty to play rough with so soon.

also snoop, you threw me off there, but if you could toss me a PM when you get a chance i'm sure i'll understand what your saying.

Thats how mine is, so like other said about mine, its probably a machine made syrian, by Ager, but it smokes nice nonetheless

is it not "big" enough or what? try wrapping electrical tape around it to make it bigger, lots of grommets come with tape already around them anyway in the egyptian world. If it's too big, spray some WD40 or some jiggalo on it or use a bit of dishwashing detergent. obviously let it dry before you use it.
