Smoke Bubbles

Recommended Posts

Though I'd post some pics of us messing with smoke bubbles for the first time.  Quite cheap fun seeing as it cost me $0.50.

Good show! My buddies and I have done that before. I only have one picture of it though. This is my buddy Greg, not me.

Did you notice that when they hit the ground, that they make a circular
splash? Sort of like an "O", but facing the ground. Pretty nifty, but
playing with bubbles can get messy ;)

There was this old Hookah lounge, Xen, here in San Diego and my friend Sarah used to blow bubbles all the time. One day this guy comes over and starts hitting on her (right in front of me) and asks her if he can blow some bubbles too, so Sarah, being the world's biggest flirt, goes over to this guys table and they start blowing bubbles. This guy blows this bubble that's got to be 8" in diameter (3.2 cm for non US) and this bubble kind oflifts up a little, hits this air current and starts hightailing it. It starts to sink and you can totally just see exactly where its heading, like its in slow motion. It lands almost perfectly in this gang-banger's coffee or tea or whatever and pop! Beat the poor guy to a pulp.

Holy crap!  He beat the guy to a pulp just because a smoke bubble landed in his tea?  I hope the assailant went to jail.  That's way too harsh of a reaction for something so innocent.  Damn.

Touche. I got my 2.54 factor backwards. Made me sound reel stoopid, too. The mug in question was involved in a number of problems all over the place and got sentenced to parole if I remember. That's why Xen died...people like him.
That's crazy! And actually, it's 20 CM for us Canadians :P. I tried it with a bubble maker but it was the bad kind, I have to give it another shot. Jon
If you wouldn't have said it, I would've.///ON TOPIC TIMEThis makes me want to get this going on.  Oh well, it'll have to wait until summer for bubbles/
Those are great pics.  I was thinking it would
be cool to blow a medium sized bubble and then pop a smoke ring around
it, kinda like a mini Saturn.
One trick thats always fun to show people is blow a large smoke bubble,
and then catch it on the little plastic bubble wand thingy, then poke
the hole in the wand thingy, and the smoke starts flowing out of it.
Then just re-inhale that smoke, and it looks kinda nifty.

This isn't really a difficult trick by any means, but just one thing that looks cool and entertains for about 5 mintues.. ;)
