ryno Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 I posted this, and when the forum got moved, it got deleted I thought it'd be cool to have a topic where you post pics of your old hookahs that have gotten broken, or are out of commision for some reason or another.This was my first hookah, and I bought it locally (Rainbow Palace in Ft Wayne, IN). I later found out it was from Sahara Smoke company. It served me well for my first few months of hookah. I then found this forum and wanted to get a new and better hookah, so I tried to find people to buy my old one. I found some one, and I was gonna get 100 out of it (payed 120). A few nights before she was to be sold, I decided to give her a good cleaning. I read on here that alcohol cleans hookahs out well, and I found some in the freezer. My hookah was full of very hot water and i poured out the water and the rum in and heard a noise i didnt want to hear. I look at the bottom and see a nice crack along the whole bottom.... Now a broken hookah and nothing to do... sort of. I decided to send my first base off in style, which was throwing it off a bridge into the river at 4am.... may my nameless base rest in peace, and find the gnomes that went off the bridge a few weeks before. and a few weeks ago, I found a glass milk just that fit the stem perfectly, she her spirit lives on.the first pic is a shot of her, 3 hoses. the second is me and the base before she went off the bridge. Voski Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 My friends dad had a hookah he got from Lebanon 30 years ago. It's one of the best hookahs I have ever smoked out of and ever will probably. The only bad thing about it is that it needs a male bowl so you can't use a phunnel on it. One day he is outside on the grill and for some reason backs into a table where he had the hookah. The poor thing tipped over and the base shattered into a million pieces. All he said was "The one I loved". It was a very sad moment. In the past 2 years, well over 6 bases have brokenStep sis broke one, my friend broke one [along with a Medium Phunnel], my dad broke one, I broke one, and others have randomly broken.I also got fucking jacked of a KM..that got me really pissed off. I dont know how nor do I remember when, because it was not my primary smoke..I come out to take a pic of all my Hookahs, and I realize that one is missing.All Hookah stems are in solid condition though, you can;'t break that unless you smash it on the floor and beat it to death..or something. NUBBS Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) One evening about 1 1/2 ago I was smoking out of my first cheapy chinese hookah [Stinky Pete] outback,then I got up to move further from the fire and the chain on my wallet got stuck in the plastic chair some how and the chair pulled on the hose and down he went. The base shattered everywhere, and I just stared blankly and then got sad.About 5 months ago I found Thehookah.com, which has pick-a-part thing for my hookah and I found a replacement base. Good as new. So now Stinky Pete is back from the dead and is now refered to as Zombie Pete [hence my siggy pic]. In fact just smoked some Nahkla Grape out it while doing some homework, which is why my post is so late in the AM. MMMM Tastes like Grape blowpop. leadpipecinch21 Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 that's really rough, snoopy...and i don't have a picture of the hookah, but it was a blue junior hookah.i was chilling with some friends, smoking her, having a good session. when we finished up i went to take her apart to pack up, and the damn downstem just ripped in to two in my hands. the threads apparently got jacked up some how wouldn't release, so she's broken...kinda sucked, but it gave me a reason to get my egyptian. SuburbanSmoker Posted June 23, 2008 Share Posted June 23, 2008 On a recent camping trip the hose port into the mya stem i was using broke off at the threads =/. thought we would be safe using an acrylic, but somehow hookahstem < dirt... of course super glue and soder can fix that temporarily but still a freak accident.Then a week later (yesterday), playing poker with a bunch of guys while smoking out of two of my hookahs, just having a good time when my buddy decides to move my custom egyptian and picks it up by the stem. Roommate was going to move it, and I looked up and yelled, "Make sure you pick it up by the BASE!!" and as soon as I finished the word base, it fell out and shattered on the floor. I didnt even have the heart to go pick it up, and it set out there all night.
