dragonseth
Hi, everybody! I'm new here. Just started smoking hookah near the start of the semester. Just got my own hookah semi-recently, as well as my own tobacco and such so that I can stop mooching off of people. Anyway, I got some Al Amir tobacco, Cherry, Caramel Apple, and Banana Split. It's good, and the smoke is nice, but I'm not getting a lot of flavor. I tried letting the tobacco sit out for a couple of hours, mixing it on the hour. It smells a lot like cough syrup. The smoke is thick and smooth, I really like it, but there's not a lot of flavor. Is there some trick to this that I'm not getting? Thanks for any advice you guys can give me! oolatec
I've only had the Apple AM flavor... really like it... nice and smooth, and actually has a lot of flavor... try holding the tip of your tongue up against the roof of your mouth so when you inhale, the smoke goes under your tongue. More taste buds there. And of course, you will get some fellow board members saying that AM is crap anyway... to each their own...
ilikemyusername
i had to acclimate mine for 16 hours to get rid of the plastic skunk butt flavor, after that it wasn't bad. i had the grape (SUCKED) and the mixedfruits, not bad.
mushrat
I smoked a lot of AA before i opened, was one of my main brands, and I sell a loit of it to.That "tang" is kind of a characteristic of the brand. Each branks has some identifying "thing" about it.Anyways.What kind of coals and how much at a time on the bowl are you using. It sound like, with thick smoke but no flavour you are getting it way too hot.
