Tangiers W/standard Bowl

I am getting thin smoke, i barely get any smoke, and i am using exoticas. Is the tobacco supposed to touch the tinfoil like the setup w/ the phunnel bowl? Because as of now i have it packed pretty damn full.

Any help would be appreciated i am desperate,

exotica's dont work to well with tangiers in my experience. They burn to hot. And yes its suppose to touch. Try more baccy nd big holes and go ALL the way down with the tooth pick or whatever it is ur useing.

i dont know how much more tobacco i can put in there its pretty full. How far above the bowl would you say the tobacco needs to be?

Use s2 pieces of an exotica that look like a cube, all sides equilateral. Or use 3 in a triangular formation. That should take care of the heat problem while still being able to get good smoke.

Ive had luck with Tangiers in a standar bowl by packing it around my pinky in the middle, so theres a picky sized hole in the middle. Didnt use Exoticas then, but 3 halves of 3K QL

i've had some legit experiences with tangy in a normal bowl, i brarely use my phunnel anymore actually. the only thing is making sure there's a hople in the middle because the tobacco is packed so tight it restricts air flow

i just posted a tutorial in the tangiers wiki thread. i use exoticas w/ tangiers. it works fine.

if the exoticals are too hot, use smaller pieces. I just pack it like a normal bowl, same 25 or so spiral hole pattern with a toothpick, and some small coals and smoke.
