My First Hookah Purchase

Hi everyone! My name is Brennan and I'm new to these forums. I have been in the market for a first time hookah for quite some time now, but the myriad of sites, brands, and prices has somehwat overwhelmed me.
After reading some articles and posts on this site, Mya and KM hookahs seem to be fan favorites.
I really have been looking through some of the more popular vendors this site recommends (got hookah and hookah shisha) and really can't come to a decision.
I want a single hose hookah (i've really been warming up to the mya brand) that comes in a package deal. As i will be transporting the hookah to various places, so a hardcase is a must. I also would prefer to pay one price for everything to get started, then buy extras as i get more experienced. My girlfriend just got an inhale brand hookah for her birthday, but i wasn't really impressed by the smoking experience. I want a hookah with longetivity; something i won't want to replace when I get more experienced.

To sum it up: What (in your educated opinions) is the best online retailer in the states? I live in kokomo indiana and NOWHERE around here sells hookahs, so it has to be from an online store.
What is a good single hose hookah brand that I won't regret purchasing a year down the road due to sub-par build quality?
I look to spend around 150.00USD total for the package. To the uneducated hookah smoker, the sheer volume of retailers, brands, and styles available is really hard to navigate through and find the best deal.
I really appreciate your responses, and hope to make this forum my one stop for hookah education.

Mya is the best for portability and decent for smoking and build quality. I would just pick a vendor, buy everything you want from them, and continue stocking up when ready.

MNhookahs.com, nazarhookah.com, worldhookah.com, are my current favorites.

My go to hookah is a Mya Acrylic. Just the right size for optimum smoke, many color options available, or you can try one of their smaller hookahs for even greater portability (bambino, QT, etc.). But pick any vendor listed here, there all good.

Only thing is I highly suggest getting the Nammor hose from hookah-shisha. Ive tried every hose on the market, even the many Mya's, but these are the best in terms on longevity and actually being washable. Coals, stick with either 3Kings or you may try CocoNara's heard good things from them. have fun smoking,

go with the mya vortex from hookah-shisha.com ....it kicks AMAZING comes in a suitcase so very easy for transportation and it screws in and is solid metal so you know it's durable

I'm a newbie too and bought a Mya. They're not really that much more than other brands and are great quality. My Diva was fifty bucks at a local smoke shop, and worth every penny. I also recommend Three Kings charcoals and Al Fahker shisha (esp. mint) for a great smoking experience. Hookah smoking is one of those things that you get what you pay for.

he ordered 3 (THREE) 250g's of AF

If I'm not mistaken he knows that it was 3 250's, but was saying that $25 seems like a great deal on 3 250s. Its $8.33 per 250. Not bad... Edited May 21, 2008 by Jeff_T
