Is it okay to replace a hookah's one way release valve with a second hose adapter to make it a dual? I had a buddy that said no since you won't be able to clear the line, but I thought using an auto seal adapter might work. Thoughts?

Is it okay to replace a hookah's one way release valve with a second hose adapter to make it a dual? I had a buddy that said no since you won't be able to clear the line, but I thought using an auto seal adapter might work. Thoughts?

It's ok on a diva to replace the purge valve with second port. Since the second ports are auto-seals, you will have one master hose to smoke when it's just you, the second port will work as a purge valve so you can clear the vase if necessary and the ball will seal the second port when you inhale, so you won't have to cork it. The person on the original, call it master, port will have to cover the end of the hose with their thumb when the second person is inhaleing so air wont suck in the hose. The secon'd person won't have to do this when the master hose is being used because of the ball.

The second person will NOT be able to purge the vase because of the ball and when the master hose person want to clear the vase the second person will have to make sure they are not thumbing their hose so the smoke can escape someplace and not blow water up into your bowl (don't ask).

This is rambling I know but if you read it slowly it will make sense..i think.

Oh, and just for shits and giggles, the person on the master hose can blow smoke in the face of the second person as they bring the hose to their mouth but the second person will NOT be able to do this little trick back. Sucks when you are smokign someone elses hookah huh?

Hahahaha that's what I do with my Obelisk 3 Auto-seals and 1 normal. haven't tried the blowing in peoples face trick, but I will next time Canon comes over...shhh don't say anything!
