Hose port isn't curved you guys, it's not a KM or an MZ. Just an Egyptian, and it looks well made, i would go out on a limb and say brass, but most likely not brass cored (I could be wrong, no way to know anyway). It's a nice little rig, id go for it if it's under 60 bucks.

Actually you know I think that may be a Syrian. Intricate carvings, heavy construction. Edited by ZenSilk

If it were syrian, it would have a different looking hose port and purge valve. Most syrians I've seen have a sort of common chamber and different looking purge valve. The purge on this one looks like the older style KM's.

Purges are different on KM's, i personally have 3 that i could interchange at any time that fit on the KM, and they aren't eben form Km hookahs. It's like KM bases, sometimes they are from KM, sometimes they aren't but look like it.

KM's and MZ's both ALWAYS have curved hose ports, usually with a stamp or etched writing on the side of them (usually left in my experience). MZ's are usually constructed with more of a flowing curve as well, as seen in alot of their stems.

Syrian stems vary, as they are just hand-made in Syria, not by a company so there are no specifications anyone has to follow. Etchings like that are only found in rigs that have some human contact before their sale (craftsmanship, decoration; etching and painting). It is not rugged-looking like an egyptian, so that is why i would go with Syrian over anything.
