boulderkid303
I love coco-nara's but the end of my last batch crumbled on me while lighting. The next batch was just fine, but come on keep up the good work coco! I dont want you guys to end up with the same rep as another coal....
iamscott06
Hmm I hope mine arent like that. Think the box could have smashed against something hard and thats why the bottom ones are crumbly? Coco's FTW!Other coal.. FTL!

Voski
thats odd I have gone through 5 boxes without this happening. Hell I have droped coals from like 5 feet on to gravel without them breaking.
mattarios2
I have a small box comming from Neal to test out, hope this doesn't happen to those. My exoticas have been splitting lately but I think its b/c when using tangiers you need so little heat so i have been using small cubes and the only way I can get them to crack is by putting them over the edge of a table and smashing them. We'll see how the coco's do for me.

Every coal does this. They do turn black after a while, but a long while, I usually only flip my exoticas once ever 45 min if that. I love exoticas, just hate when they break, but I think I solved that problem. I think its b/c Lately i have been cracking them over a table so when it breaks it hits the floor hard causing some distrurbance in the coal so when it heats up it cracks. Now I just make the coals a lil bigger so I can crack them in my hand and no issues so far.

That's just the way things are, heh. I do notice that finger coals, japs, and naturals go black a lot faster than 3 kings... but that's probably due in part to the 3k design (with the hollow-ish bottom) and the fact that they have all sorts of odd chemicals in them. ryno
Yea, Exoticas do go black, just not as fast for me as cocos do. Althougj, I def want to give cocos another shot here soon
NickReppinThe909
im on my 9th box (84 piece) of cocos and i have only gotten 6 individual bad coals and they were just a little crumbly
mushrat
Crumbly coals CAN, but not necessarily does, mean water damage. Or could just be a bad press or air bubbles or something.
