no longer welcome
The numbers represent sounds that aren't made by the english alphabet. I can't always explain them but can read them as I know the rest of the word and what is trying to be said. For example the first syllable in fus7ha is fus and simple enough, however the 2nd syllable is a rougher sounding H that isn't used in engliush, I can't describe it so someone else will have to chime in. The word could be pronounced as fus hhhha if that makes sense. The second word starts with a aaaa sound so that's what the 3 stands for. You could have the same word with out the 3 and it would be a soft A sound that we are used to in english but that would make this a completely different word.I'm sure someone else can explain better but I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm sure you can google the meaning of numbers when writing arabic in english and it will give you the list and sounds.
