Joshmmc
I would definately buy some, I've never liked the idea of tinfoil, it's been known for years that the oxide it gives off, especially during burning, causes problems such as Alzheimer's in the long run. Scoop
you take it off by taking the coals off and waiting a few mins, its cools pretty quick
Balthazar
If you're willing to ship internationally (at my expence, of course) then I'd also love to buy a few of them from you.
ahwahoo2006
Interesting idea... I'd certainly be interested in purchasing one as one. My only concern, as with metal screens, is that you can't get as good a seal on the sides as you can with foil.
bolt in blue
I'd definitely be interested in one for my small phunnel and maybe one for my super chief (even though I rarely use it).

HookahGuru
Im just saying I lose my tongs all the time, I can just pull the foil off
Balthazar
You have no other object that would be able to remove it from the bowl? Then I suggest you either grow a patience, or continue using foil
Codename067
Looks pretty nice man. How about making bigger ones? ones that possible extend it [slightly] beyond the rim of the bowl? to better help air seal it?Now that, I would buy.
Khronokai
Definately interesting, I'll have to keep up with this thread. I'm interested to see how it does in the long run, with such things as fragility, tobacco sticking/burning to the bottom, etc.
Rani
I'm with everyone else - I'd love to try it. Seems like it would work really well since the bowls themselves are ceramic. So heat would be conducted evenly throughout.'Rani
Bulldog_916
What sucks is that the phunnels are hand made. No 2 are exactly the same size. Better email him dimensions and the like so that you dont end up with a ceramic cover that's too small. Also...add a handle to it that extends out in both directions that the tongs can grip onto. Then you'll have a sure winner from where I sit. Also, clay bowls, mod bowls, jet phunnels, mya bowls, you better get accurate dimensions for most of those, or make the screen big enough to accommodate several different bowl sizes and hole patterns. ilikemyusername
holy crap dude, you could totally be onto it, start this thing NOW! before someone beats you to it, also if it sat on the bowl by a mod that was built in and had a knob like stick thingy coming up through the center if you can envision it, would make you a million dollars! ... or atleast pay for your shisha. Scoop
made a couple more. have a few at home. most of them are just too fragile, one came out really good, but my friend who makes them isn't around right now...
jellywerker
How about using ductal concrete? http://www.metropolismag.com/story/2005051...-concrete-chairhttp://www.ductal-lafarge.com/wps/portal/Ductal/Even in thin wafer form I think it would be stronger than ceramic. Add a glazing so you're not smoking anything unwanted and I think we could have a winner.
Hobbs
Do you think ceramic tile or unglazed clay tile would be suitable to make these out of? I've got several boxes of both... but they're at least 1/4" thick.
