jellywerker
I'd think weight would be more of a factor than thickness. Those 1/4in thick tiles might compress your shisha too much. However if you made it perfectly sized so the inner walls held it in place and then packed your tobacco to just below that line, I think you'd be good to go. Karot
wonder if glass in the same form would work, rather than the mnh glass screens that only have that one large hole?

indian_villager
I dont understand what everyone has against foil. It works great, is dirt cheap, and you can chuck it when done. Making these for phunnels could be tricky as they are all hand made and vary in size (ask me how I know). Not to knock on it or anything. I'd still support the cause if it comes to fruition. K1024
i like the idea of a reusable screen instead of foil just because i wont have to go find foil everytime i want to smoke.

K1024
right, but i can have a screen that always goes with my bowl that i take everywhere with my hookah. a roll of foil will not fit in my carrying case and if i forget it im screwed. i would love a screen for my leila so i dont have to worry about finding foil on the road. But the problem would be you need more heat which might melt the downstem.
