Syrian Mod To Egyptian...ideas? - Or...where Can I Find A Larger Male-fitting Bowl?

When I bought my hookah a year ago I was unaware that they were trying to "phase-out" the male-fitting style bowls, and as a result I am stuck with a female stem that cannot fit almost any new bowl that I would want to buy. I am not looking into a fancy bowl or anything like that, just one that is a little larger. So my questions are:

1. Where can I find a good larger(than standard) male-fitting bowl?
2. I have found some larger male-fitting bowls but they are clay and unglazed (what is the downside to this?)
3. I know from doing a search on this forum that somebody used to make a converter but no longer does. Does anybody know of anyone making one again? If not, any suggestions how I could possibly do a little DIY job? I wouldn't imagine it would be too difficult, just would have to create an air-tight seal that was sturdy enough not to topple off. Also, if anyone had an idea for this it would be preferrable to be able to put it on and take it off fairly easily (i.e. no permanent fixtures).

I would greatly appreciate the help and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there with this issue.
