yashman19
Wait, so you ARE a cigg and hookah smoker? Just verifying because it wasn't very clear I've never touched a cigg in my life, pretty surprising to people when they see how much hookah I smoke. But not getting a buzz is very understandable if you are also a cigg smoker. Your body is used to all the nicotine from ciggs. There is typically more nicotine in ciggs than hookah, so why would hookah give you a buzz when you are already getting a nicotine rush from the ciggs? See what I mean? Now the poeple who never smoke ciggs, these are people who tend to get buzzed from hookah, although I don't anymore, from smoking roughly 3 years, 1-3 times per day
killajakez
Is it true that lighting your cigarette from someone's (or even your own) lit hookah is bad etiquette? I've heard this at both an Israeli and a Turkish place.
jmexx
The last hookah lounge that was Arab owned I went to wasn't very strict about the rules but they've mentioned it to me.Jon
Soup
I used to smoke cigarettes...before I ever learnd of hookah. Quit that. I now smoke cigars (Captain Black and Colts mainly) and ma'assel. It has been over a year since I quit and to this day I still get cravings. I've finally started getting some money in and I find it hard not to start again now that I can afford it. It's a good thing I have great will power and self control.
Nekotaku
I tried cigarettes, and found them to be very addictive. I've still got some rolling tobacco and roll a ciggie a couple of times a day. But once I'm out of tobacco, I'll stop it. Cigarettes just aren't rewarding enough when compared to cigars. The only good thing about them is that my cigars taste all the better afterwards. thebastard
I light my ciggies from lit shishas all the time...i fail to understand the "bad etiquette" aspect of it.
wizzard880
in any middle eastern culture, it is compleatly wrong to light ur ciggerette with the hookah, or argilah for my fellow arabs, basically doing that is like shaking someones hand with your left hand you dont do it, old tradition
gunsboy
Lighting a cig from the coal actually disturbs the coal which might result in a bunch of negative things such as, irregular smoke, a cig smell with the smoke, break down a coal that is barely intact and the more ashes will fall between the tobacco, drop the coal or drop the bowl if not setup right ..... etc. Other than it feels disrespectful or light it from someone's coal without getting permission. It is like picking a bottle of water of someone's table and washing your hand with a little bit of it. In some places in
Sonthert
Or using the coal tray as a cigarette tray. It actuallly makes my skin crawl. Some other lounge owner in San Diego will scream and swear out people sometimes, if they use the tray for cigarettes. Depends on his mood. What about putting your hookah on a table? Some people absolutely abhor the practice.
Sonthert
That didn't come out quite right...What about putting your hookah on a table? SOme people abhor the practice. I see it being done all the time in lounges who don't know any better.
Soup
My buddies girlfriend ashed her smoke in the tray. He stared at her for a while then said this, "Way to go! 2000 years of etiquette RIGHT OUT THE WINDOW!!!"
