Maple Shisha

Id love to find some Maple flavour shisha, does any brand make some?

If not the guys at Love Shisha should try that next, i think id be pretty simple....

I was really surprised when I realized no one had this flavor, so I made it. That's pretty much the only route I can think of for it.

Well, me and Jordanneff tried making some a while back... and didn't care for it. It tastes like maple yes, but it was so buttery/sugary it made me sick. Maybe that's why it's not out there, or maybe (doubtfully) noone else has tried making it.

how did you go about making it ?

Used some sort of maple extract, and old maple syrup instead of honey/molasses.

No, pipe tobacco... same stuff we used for other shisha though so we know the tobacco wasn't bad. It's just the flavor itself that didn't agree with me... too darn rich tasting/feeling.

Hey! I have some of Bubba's Camel Toe no flavor, straight up tobacco shisha...and 100% Maple syrup from Texas. What do ya think? I have a bowl of it left, about a half of a teaspoon of syrup??

I was thinking about it, and maybe it would not work too good?? Maple syrup is very thin. Probably not a good idea?? Any thoughts out there??

Well, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I have friends who have made mead, which is traditionally made with honey, out of maple syrup, and it works. The only thing is that maple syrup is much sweeter than honey, so you need much less of it than if you are using honey, and probably less than for molasses, too. This is also assuming it's the real stuff, not fake syrup. If it is too thin, you could boil it down to make it thicker, if you wanted to. But as I said, a little goes a long way, because the sweetness and the flavor are pretty strong.

There are so many different grades and types of maple syrup and not all are thin. In fact you can acquire or make maple sugar which is just completely dried syrup.

I think experimenting with maple sugars sounds like a great idea, I think I'm going to try making a maple, cinnamon, and vanilla blend. I can call it french toast or something. I'll see how it turns out. Edited May 27, 2008 by derogatory

Actually, I mixed Tangiers vanilla and cinnimin and it tasted a little like a caramel, and smelled up the bar I was in as maple syrup!
