Any Metal Heads In Here?

I really never got into the black metal or the death metal...to repetitive for me. I like something with a bit more melody. I guess thats why the swedish stuff really does it for me....dual guitar solos FTW!

I consider black metal/death metal a type of novelty music. Glen Bentons vocals on "Annihalated by the hands of God" is a good example of that. I gave Six Feet Under a trial run and the jury is still out if I like them or not. Foreign (ie Swedish) black metal is juvenile because most of them are horrible muscians. I almost always end up saying "HA! That's funny!" after a black metal session.

You should check out some of the more melodic metal from Sweden...Dark Tranquility, old Soilwork, old In Flames, Messuggah, Amon Amarth, etc. Those bands are exceptionally talented.
