Travis Moore
Due to the incompetence of a certian online retailer, I won't have stem/base brushes until next week. I've used my new hookah once already w/o cleaning it (I did rinse it though). If I use it once more, and let it set a few days until I can clean it (I won't have the stem/base brushes until next week), will I 'hurt' anything? ThanksTravis

HKJON
just run warm water through the pipe and base. This will clean it just fine until your brushes arrive.

Nothing but time and several smokes will totally get rid of Nakhla Rose and Cappuccino though. Those flavors just rape hookahs. Even washable hoses are often no match for a good bowl of the Nakhla Cap, it just takes some smoking through to get rid of the flavor. Just rinsing is usually fine. I usually rinse the stem with hot water, rinse it with cold, then rinse the vase with cold and it's all good. Every few smokes I might run the brushes through but honestly it's not a huge deal unless something like the above flavors are smoked.

liquidglass
I used to do a thorough cleaning before every smokeGun cleaning brushlemon juice/water mixturebaking soda sometimesand very rarely vinegarbut i discovered recently I didn't taste as much with the shisha when I cleaned it so thorough, so now I just run hot water through it, scrub it with the stem brush and go
Big Boss
I usually clean my hookah after every session, but I guess it all comes down to personal preference.
vaypourus
I usually just rinse some hot water through it. Once I see little ash/shisha particles building up on the inside downstem, I bust out the brushes and give it a good scrubing. I've found a little baking soda does the job and doesn't leave a taste like lemon juice does *blah*

If you really want to clean it, Canon had a video up of him cutting up a cheap scouring pad and shoving it through the stem. I tried it with a scouring pad, a bent hanger, and some lemon juice and it worked better than my brushes.

Voski
Mine doesn't get cleaned a lot. Sometimes it goes weeks or months without being cleaned.
Rani
I smoke daily and I clean the hookah the following morning at the latest. I will also sometimes switch to another already clean hookah. But then during sessions I also keep flavors together. All fruity or all coffee-ish, etc. Cuts down on the flavor blending substantially. Not to mention my mood usually is inclined to stay with one type of flavor as a rule until at least a day later.'Rani

TexasHookah
I recommend cleaning after every use. Just rinse with hot water and you should be fine. Clean with the brushes like once a week.
SimplexCoda
Ya I rinse mine with hot water at the most after every 2 bowls preferably after every bowl. I dont have to scrub it that much because i have a superchief bowl so not much crap gets in the stem. but i would say after about 7-10 bowls i scrub it using the scouring pad and hanger method...its way better than brushes.
