Longer Pipe

Recommended Posts

I had this problem a while back. Instead of buying a new stem, I just
went to home depot and bought some clear tubing (about the same size as
the part that goes in the water) and cut + glued it to the stem. Worked
great while I waiting for my new hookah to arrive.

Mine still works well, just like it did orginally without the tubing. Just make sure to use a good glue.

Honestly though it bothers me when things aren't perfect like they are when they're brand new. That's why I got a new hookah.

I think the vinyl tubing would be a good alternative, but I might
recomend trying to get a clear tube that will fit onto the stem without
glue, as you might get fumes depending on the glue you use, even when
dry.

Try to find different sizes of tubing, and use one that is hard to put
over the stem, meaning you really have to force it over the stem, and
it should be fine and you wouldn't have to use any glue.

Also if you can, post a picture of your new base. I loved that one the
other member bought from TJ Max, and would love to see yours as well ;)

yeah ill post it tommorow, im not actually supposed to have a hookah if
you know what i mean.  I did find a clear vinyl that fits
perfectly with lots of effort at home depot.  It was 6 dollars, so
i didnt buy it.  I thought 6 dollars would be enough to buy a new
tube, but it seems like that would be too hard to find.  Ill get
the vinyl tmrw and set it up and take a picture.  And brad, incase
the "tight" vinyl slips off or something due to condensation, what type
of glue did you use?  Superglue?

I used metal bonding glue, but I'm sure you don't have that sitting around your house. Gorilla glue sounds like it would be perfect, though I have a few friends who used super glue on their hookahs and we're all still alive
