ZAP
Well I was smoking with a friend yesterday and the smoke was tasting odd and a little tight so i removed the coals to find a hole in the foil. I thought I must have poked it with the tongs when placing the coals or something so I removed the foil and to my surprise, their was no evidence of a 'poke'. I expected to see tabs/flaps on the underside of the foil but their were none.Remember the pic that Yashman (?) posted a while ago of the translucent foil? Well horror... the small area surrounding the hole was like that. The coals I was using are the 3 kings for the Arab market (I think). They come in a box which is more or less the same but the writing is all arabic. They even say made in Holland. I've never had anything like this happen before...On a side note - you can probably expect a review of the dual hose auto-seal adapters I got from Hookahwholesale.com (cheers Mushrat) when I can be arsed. tjt486
ive seen something like what you described when I first got my butane torch, I went to 'touch up' the part of the coal that was still black (from where the tongs were holding it) and it burnt straight through the foil, with translucense around it. Im suprised a coal could cause that, though.
