Trying Out Af

Just placed an order at HS for the Al-Waha Super Pack with Coconaras. I went with 250 g's of After Nine, Bounty, and Orange Cream. So now I'm anxious to see how different it is from the other shishas I've smoked (Mostly Starbuzz/Tangiers and then lots of sample packs of Romman). Is there anything special I will need to do to get AW to smoke right? I'm mostly concerned about the heat management..

Oh yeah, I also had to grab a 250 g of Static Starlight - really looking forward to trying this out Edited June 2, 2008 by hilikus

You probably have a phunnel right?

I'd go phunnel, pack it like SB (nice and fluffy) with 3 coco's. 2-3 rings of holes. Its not that hard to make smoke good.

I've put a lot of heat on AF before and it did not burn too easily... but you obviously don't want to push the envelope and over do it. I think 3coconaras will do the trick.

I have some AF Coming also. I agree 3 Coco's does it for most everything except Tangiers I do 2.

Are you sure you got Al-Fakher and not Al-Waha because AL-Fakher don't do After Nine, Bounty, and Orange Cream

I agree 3 Coco's does it for most everything except Tangiers I do 2.

I use 3 coco's for everything, tang, sb, af, layalina.. Sometimes I place them hanging off the edge, sometimes right in the middle of the phunnel. Just try different places and you should be fine.

+1. I don't see anything on afonline about those flavors. Al Waha isn't bad...I like it a hell of a lot better than some of the others I have smoked *cough Romman & HH cough*

I think the Al Waha double apple is my favorite of the DA I've tried so far...we'll have to see once I try the Layilana (spelling?)

You're right, it is Al Waha - my bad. I guess I'll give the 3 cocos a shot when the order comes in. Bounty is going to be the first flavor I try.. sounds delicious.

Just got everything in this morning, and i'll be lighting up some of the orange cream later tonight. Couple of notes on the order, the AW Bounty wasn't packaged the same way as the other two AW flavors (it was only wrapped in the clear packaging. This has happened to me with Starbuzz flavors a couple times - not sure why it happens, but I'm fairly confiden it's still been Starbuzz in the past) and freakin leaked in the box. Also, I acclimated the Static Starlight for 4 hours, hopefully that was enough because I don't know what SS is supposed to smell like, haha. Anyways, I might have some pics up over the weekend.
