how is the lucid?

The Lucid is likely the new standard in washed tobacco. Kashmir Cherry last night, Horchata right now. So good I'm ordering every flavor this weekend. Amazing stuff. No wonder it took so long. It's perfection in tobacco.

God, I can't tell you that..... The K Cherry is awesome. Strongly flavored, not sickly sweet like some cherry flavors, but definitely fruity in a very good way with the Kashmir flavor equally balanced. The Horchata is creamy and cinnamon-y. Exactly like Horchata drink which I personally love. I'm still picking up a very mild buzz, but it could be the oxygen deprivation since I can't seem to put down the damn hose. Seriously..... And I'm smoking it in a regular Eyptian bowl. Loaded it low and tamped it down so that as the package instructs "about as tight as it is in the bag". With normal room under the foil. Almost an hour into the bowl and still as fresh, strong and perfect as when it first started cooking.

When you say it should be 'the new standard' How are you basing this?

I only ask as Tangiers is hardly what I would call the 'bench mark' in Tobacco's. I see Tangiers as something like a Scimitar. Excellent piece of kit, but not for everybody and not exactly 'ready to use' out of the box lol.

Just a thought for the fanboys to consider.

Now Nahkla of course - there is a bench mark of tobacco's tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

well the washed line is more like a heat seeking self reloading bazooka...pack it, smoke it, not as hard to pack as unwashed, and kicks ass

off to hang with dom and eric.i see eric way too much now haha

wow, that was good stuff, man. Eric's place is nice, humble, cozy and chill. "just like smoking at home." i agree. that's why i have tried to steer clear of most lounges. because i'd rather just smoke at my home in front of the TV. And that's pretty much what it's like at Odessy.

beautiful hookahs. really solid. really elegent. i really like the hoses. Derek was telling me that Eric uses leather hoses only and tries to use different hookahs/hoses for different flavors. that's a smart idea. we had Black Thorn and it still had some Brambleberry flavor still in it, but after 25 minutes of smoking it was back to normal. really nice feel, the leather. i like it. the long handle is pretty handy. and light as a feather. not awkward at all.

over all. great experience. i'll definitely be back.

oh, and they have Dr. Pepper fountain drinks! w00t!! dance.gif

6:25 AM: On FedEx vehicle for delivery

Oh boy. This stuff better get here soon, cause I have to leave for the night in about an hour. I'll definitely be going for the Kashmir Cherry first.

I think the Lucid line could set a new standard for washed tobaccos. The main thing preventing the original line from being hailed as the best tobacco on the market is its lack of user-friendliness. If the Lucid line solves this issue while maintaining that same full-bodied flavor, it'll be amazing.

Can anyone comment on how Lucid compares to the original line in terms of the body and flavor quality of the smoke?

Wait... shh. I think I hear a FedEx truck rumbling in the distance.

... maybe not sad.gif

Sorry JD but basing it on: 1) used fresh out of the bag like any washed tobacco; 2) packed into a regular bowl like any washed tobacco - no special tricks needed; 3) smoked more than 2 hours on less than 15 grams in a regular bowl because I gave up after 2-1/4 hours and the flavor was still going strong; 4) No artificial coloring; 5) the best base tobacco - I remember when he changed to the highest possible grade of tobacco; and 6) because I said so and it's all about me....

Okay so I made that last part up, but all the rest is definitely valid. Try it for yourself and you'll likely be president of the fan club in record time.
