Al Fakher - Your Thoughts?

I purchased 8 boxes of Al-Fakher a while back using some promo they had going on.
I was really stoked, they had a nice selelction of flavors and members here had been raving about it.

Not one single flavor was enjoyable.
Plum, Banana, Melon, Apricot, were all sickening and smelled like plastic. (raw glycerin i'm assuming).
Apple and Double Apple were far from what i've come to expect from an Apple moassel.
The only one I didn't try was Cappucino.

I've seen / heard some comparisons to Starbuzz.
Never tried personally but...if I hated AF am I going to dislike SBuzz?

I sorry to hear that . but did you look at the review section before you bought the flavors? Was it your hookah? Do you clean it out after every session? In general I find Al Fakher is one of the best brands out there. I love plum, and mint.

No you would love Starbuzz, Out of all the flavours from starbuzz I have enjoyed everysingle one. Its wierd how every starbuzz flavour smells and smokes good (thickkkk smoke).

Al fakher has changed I suppose but some of the flavours are still good, the last good flavour I had from them was Coke which was at a shisha cafe. It tasted exacly like coke but still Starbuzz was better in terms of how much flavour you could taste and thickness. Dont get me wrong Al fakher was still good, another good flavour I had was Cappuccino which was brilliant, this was also from a cafe in which the owner imports the flavours from egypt. tangiers lucid, layalina, regular tangiers and f-line tangiers FTW and i love AF maybe you need to phunnel it i get some amazing sessions out of AF apricot in my phunnel just ask NUBBS

and dont waste your money on starbuzz when you can find grass and cut it then soak it in molasses and get better smoke

I do have Orange and Watermelon still to try.

yes and no it is good if you want a 20-30 minute session but tangiers kills SB for a long lasting flavorful session, eric has gotten 15+ hours out of a large phunnel and i have gotten 6 hours out of a small phunnel but then i had to go to sleep

and i have no clue if gotten is a word or not but it sounds good to me lol

Tangiers wil be way too potent for me I already know.
Have to stick to the washed or El Basha line of Nahkla, otherwise it's spin cycle.

AF is one of my staple brands. You have to carefully chose the flavors though. I hear the banana is bad, the apricot is supposed to be incredibly sweet, and the melon is supposed to be decent. AF Grape (a good batch mind you), Cocktail, Watermelon, Strawberry, Orange are always good. Try those flavors.

I recently tried five new flavors from Al-Fakher:

Jasmine
Rose
Grenadine
Mango
Cocktail

Grenadine was soooo good, and it is now my go-to "fruity" smoke. As for the others... they sucked. Jasmine, Mango, and Cocktail were a big disappointment. But special hatred is reserved for Rose. It felt and tasted like I was smoking flower-scented soap.

It took forever to get that horrible soap taste out of my mouth... and out of my hookah.

Try Al-Fakher Grenadine though... it's good.

I like the AF apple, the AF melon is awesome, and the AF plum smells weird but smokes/taste nice. I got a bad batch of the white grape (ketchup) and that was pretty awful. I have had a handful of the other AF flavors and liked them. If I go to the lounge, an AF flavor is usually a winnter.

I don't think the Starbuzz is bad at all....and I'm smoking the same stuff that Nick sent me. Its definitly not my favorite, but its not at a Romman level.

Just going to say what everyone else has said, clean out your hookah. AF is by far my favorite brand of shisha. Cappucino and Watermelon are on the top of the list for flavors that they make.

Get some AF Mint, mix it with some Layalina Kiwi/Strawberry and Layalina Blueberry....the single most exotic tasting bowl you will ever smoke.

If you enjoy Passion Fruit, add a PINCH of it to the bowl. This will increase Exotic-ness.

I'm personally a pretty big fan of Al Fakher, but I really don't like their watermelon... I always hated Bubblicious gum, and that's exactly what it tastes like to me: sickening amounts of sweetness. Their strawberry also used to be one of my favorites, but I think it got a bit sweeter too. Still good, just on that thin line between pleasant and glucose-y.

I also agree that many of their flavors have changed, but that's not always a bad thing. Some of my favorites seem to have gotten even better (Mint and Orange, for example).

Good call, that's one of my favorite mixes (sometimes with Layalina Mint instead). Also very good is a mix of AF Mint, AF Jasmine, and AF Rose--that one's called the Incensuous at my regular hookah bar.
