Im an assassin.
Started at 3 in Tae Kwon Doe, Tang su do; The "structured" martial arts.
Moved on to jujitsu and brazillian style fighting.
Boxed a bit in high school, and trained in weapon battles.
Street fought and fought at an underground club for awhile.
Took 2 cage fights, won both.
Now no one wants to fight me. So I collect weapons.

I'm into professional MMA fighting. Sacramento is fast becoming a home for great fighters. Urijah Faber comes to mind immediately. Ken Shamrock trained here. Mark Munoz trains and lives here. There are more they just dont come to mind. San Jose is also a big training area for pro fighters. I've wanted to train at Ultimate Fitness but right now I dont have the funds for a membership. More of a functional way to keep in shape as opposed to running laps or weight training by myself. All of that is repetitive and none of it is competitive for me cuz I suck as a runner.

Took up boxing this year, had to quit it due to exams and general fuckery at my Uni, hopefully I'll resume it this month. There's something truly primal in landing a good punch or taking one to the side of your head. It's not just physical contact, the feeling of tapping something pure and animal deep inside yourself. Somehow... liberating.

But then again, maybe it's just the adrenalin high... smile.gif

I practice Muay Thai and informally train BJJ. I started with Tae Kwon Do as a kid but in my mid teens I began Muay Thai. I actually trained at Fairtex up in SF for a summer. Love Muay Thai. I started BJJ with my friend recently and just wanted to get a classic MMA style in. Love it. I tend to not like fighting though, feels like its just a waste of energy and a fun killer. That and I tend to murder them tongue.gif
