Victim026
This may seem like a rediculous rant to some of ya'll but I feel it still warrants me bringing it up. Originally when Zona Tobacco did there inital testing they sent out tons of sample to everyone. I recieved a sample of Limon and was one of the dozen people who actually made the effort to review the stuff. Questions, the creator of Zona, contacted me the day after my review saying he wanted to send me another sample in an effort to change my view of there tobacco as he said I recieved an earlier batch that wasn't up to par. I gladly sent him a return PM with my info and never heard back from him. Another sample never made it's way to me either. Fast forward to two weeks ago Questions makes a post(http://www.hookahforum.com/?showtopic=21576) in the that thread, and the topic of free samples comes up. I pipe in and ask why I never recieved my 2nd sample, he states he though it went out and tells me to once again send my info so he can get another sample out. I send him my info right away and make a post saying that he should have my info, i never hear back from him at all. Now here we are two weeks later, still no second sample, or even a message from the guy. What kind of business are you intending to run? You make promises to potential customers and then don't go through with them(if by chance the sample has already been sent then my apologies) but honestly why would you tell people these things then back out on them? It certainly doesn't make you look good at all right now....

The tobacco is still up and comming which will require alot of work, maybe he's just really busy?
Victim026
Ya know I can understand busy, but geez he's on the forums enough to give people updates.... And I was originally contacted about a 2nd sample all the way back in mid april, this is no longer about getting the sample, it's about the principle of building a good foundation with your current customers and the people who are potential customers. If you've ever taken business classes you know that if one person gives you a bad review then 4 people will hear about it from them, and so on and so forth. That goes for any kind of business. Speak_In_Vowels
with all due respect im sure he just has gotten around to it ive spoke with him a few times and he seems legit, just imagine how stressful it would be to start something up like this ya know? i truly understand where you are coming from, but i have worked a lounge that sold their own shisha and it was incredibly stressful and overwhelming to say the least. just give it time and im sure he'll pull through for you.if this sounded like an asshole remark i apologize it's not my intention in any way, i just think that it would quite hard to please all of us members all of the time.just give it time.-jerome
Scoop
sounds like a lot of whining for free samples of flavorless tobacco
Victim026
Sounds like you didn't read my second post. This is no longer about getting a free sample, this is about running a business and not telling customers things when you don't intend to do them. Why destroy your customer base before it gets off the ground? I mean say just for shits and giggles he sent me another sample and I liked it, he's gained a customer. But making promises on different occasions and then not fulfilling them? All he's done with that is put me in a positions where I'm inclined to discourage others from potentially giving him business. Scoop
he sent me samples and didn't gain a customer. get over it. let him do his thing and whine less

Victim026
Scoop, this isn't about your experience with the tobacco, this is about what he's told me. Stop being bitter that I got that Mash'al that Ilikespaceships was selling first....

He was the one who initiated the contact originally wanting to send a 2nd sample to me to try and give me a better representation of his tobacco. MechAnt
I have to side with Scoop on this one. It just sounds like whining a bit asking for samples, I mean technically you're not even a customer yet.
Voski
I don't think scoop cares at all that you bought a Mashal before he did. He picked up a shit load of KMs down the street from my house for cheap so I doubt he has a grudge or anything
Victim026
I wonder how many times I'm going to have to say this isn't about the sample for people to understand that? It's about a company making a promise and then not fulfilling on it. How would you like it if you went to eat say at Subway, and while you were there the Manager told you that on next tuesday subs would be free. And then when you showed back up the next tuesday, he told you he lied, or even worse just closed the subway on that day.... It's the same damn concept, I don't care about getting the product, I just think that everyone should know how he operates and not to expect anything from him that he says because so far he's done nothing but basically lie to me. Victim026
Ya know what I hope an a mod or admin just deletes this... No one seems to be able to comprehend the problem here so why even bother talking about it. Ya'll just go back to smoking your hookahs and thinking everythings right in the world and forget I ever said anything about any of this.

But I'm guessing you don't know that because you've prolly never owned/been apart of a brand new company.THis is the last I'll reply to this so no one gets it at all..... Voski
We do comprehend the problem your just blowing it out of proportion. He sends you tobacco and you review it.I don't know what your review was but he says he will send you another one.He doesn't.You tell him and he says he will send you another one.He doesn't.What have you done for him? If he wants to change your view you probably gave him a bad review and maybe he said fuck it. Maybe he sent it out and you never got it. I haven't gotten my FOTM from Neal and I don't care its not a big deal. Its only 50 grams of tobacco...
Ralleac
It's a free sample that would be sent at their expense. Regardless of how late the shipment might be, why would you be annoyed? I know that businesses should be timely with this sort of thing, but the amount of tobacco is kind of negligible. So know what youre talking about before you start flapping your cheeks. If your a startup company, youre going to pay more attention to a contract worth a thousand dollars a month than somebody who might in their life buy 100$.However I do agree that he could have let you know while he was on the forum. And I do agree that this should be waste of bandwith should be deleted.Cheers. mdl
Victim, I can understand where you're coming from and being a little annoyed with the situation but online forums are sometimes the last stop for someone setting up their own business especially one with so much testing that has to be done. Sometimes people are not able to get online to return messages and who knows, maybe there's something else going on in the owners life that you don't know about. Have you tried calling on the phone? Time and time again on automotive forums I see individuals getting angry at vendors because parts haven't been shipped, yet those individuals never even tried to call the vendors. You haven't lost any money over the issue and it seems right now all you are losing is your patience. The best thing you can do is forget about it and leave it be. NUBBS
I had the same problem with Arnold [questions], and cocfronted him on a thread and pm'd him. http://www.hookahforum.com/?showtopic=21576It was just bad communication. AND I think thats when the site was having lots of problems, cuz he didnt get a few of my messages. I got just as frustrated as you are, and he noticed, said something, and made it better. He sent me a package that still hasnt arrived and I told him that, so he sent another one through FedEx and it was here in no time. Just, the second package had less shish incase the first one shows up. And if the first one doesnt, then he might be cool enough to send a third one. You never know. All I have to say is communicate. If something happened to your online messages, then call. You never know unless you try. Being angry never solves anything. Now I know how I looked when I complained.
