Soup
I am looking into buying a hookah for myself and was wondering if getting an autoseal is worth it. I heard that it restricts airflow quite drastically. BTW...i was looking at the Glyph 3 hose from Hookah-Shisha.com
yashman19
I don't have a hookah with autoseal myself, but just from those few people saying that autoseal constricts air-flow even in the slightest, I think I'll pass on it. I'm planning on getting a 3hose hookah in the future, and I would prefer it to not have autoseal. I think its just easier to remind people to plug their hose. Telling people to plug their hose is a quick fix, although a minor inconvenience. But buying a hookah with autoseal and then getting pissed off at it because the draw is too tight would be a bitch...and you're out quite a bit of cash. But you never know, maybe not all autoseal hookahs have a tight draw, just the ones people have complained about. So sorry I can't give you first hand info Soup, but I thought I would share how I feel about autoseal. I'm sure someone with autoseal here will fill us in with their experience
ZAP
I don't have an actual auto-seal hookah but I purchased the dual hose adapters with autoseal from hookahwholesale and I have to say, it definately constricts air flow. Good thing about mine is that I can take it off at will so when i'm alone or anything, it isn't really a problem.I think it is still quite good and do use it with company. mushrat
As an owner of 4 hose autoseal i'd say go with the non. Just cork up the extra sockets when not in use and get your friends to thumb their hoses. For the people who will smoke with you regularly, it will become second nature for them in no time. I've pulled the ball on one of my autoseal sockets and will evenually drill it out a bit to make it easier to smoke. my $.
Mathazar
Well, several months ago I owned the Glyph and it was a very attractive hookah. The glyph etchings in the gold stem are beautiful. I can't disagree with the others about airflow problem because I was the only one who smoked that hookah. I eventually sold it to Gamaliel who liked to throw Hookah parties and he said he LOVED the 3-hose Glyph, saying that it was the ULTIMATE PARTY HOOKAH. I haven't heard any complaints from him since. Soup
Thanks a lot, guys. I just didn't want to make a mistake in getting one if the draw was bad. I'm probably gonna get the Abyss 3 hose...been drooling over that one for a long time now.
