HookahDuck
I've gotten in the habit of drinking energy drinks on a daily basis... Haha I know they arent too great for you(like smoking isnt?=P), but they are adiciting. I swear they sneak some nicotine or something in there... I usually have a ROCKSTAR in the morning(Their factory is here in Vegas, so im not sure if they are popular any where else), and an AMP(Mountain dew product) in the afternoons before work. I was just curious- Do any of you guys use them? Anyone know how bad for you liver/kidney these things really are? They have a butt-load of caffine and taurine... HookahDuck
Forgot to mention. It says "Not for those who are pregnant or sensistive to caffine" on the side of Rockstar cans. On Monster- it actually says "Consume responsibly" on the side. That kinda freaked me out!
lilotaku
I'm an avid "Kronik" and "Sobe Adrenaline" drinker. They don't taste too great, but i've found them to be much more potent than red bull, rockstar, and many other popular brands. I also like to drink Monster because it tastes great, and gives a little go.
Guest Abide
Bawls man, Bawls http://www.bawls.com/
mushrat
heh, didn't even realize they still made bawls... And yes, depending on the brand and the mix of "natural" and unnatural crap they put in them, I'll bet they can become physically habit forming. Soup
One night, me, my two friends, and Stew split 20 Sobe "Arush"s. They cost $35(CAD)...2 for $3.00 deal. We totally cleaned them out except for one. The store didn't even have any in the backroom. At one point, I couldn't feel my arms.
Sonthert
Some of my favorites: Monster, Lightnin', Sobe No Fear, US Energy. So Cal has Rockstar, and it is pretty popular, like third or fourth. Redline is a scary no calorie energy drink that contains vinpotricine (sp?) which has been linked to fatal aneurisms, even in healthy adults. I think the only concern is that these drinks are heavily dehydrating since the combination of Vitamin-B, Vitamin-C and caffeine. They are addictive, mainly because of the caffeine, but I have noticed one of the exotic components seem to hook me a little more, when its present and make me irritable and withdrawl-prone for a day or so. I don't know which one it is. Did you know? Caffeine is more addicitve than cocaine, heroine, alcohol, LSD, marijuana, ecstasy, PCP, peyote, morphine, opium and 'shrooms

dikydave
I used to destroy those things back when i lived in a dorm, but so far yall have good tastes at least. Now i usually just drink them on monday mornings cause thats my early class. My personal faves are Rockstar and Starbucks Double Shot. ok, well technically my fave is Bawls, but thats just assumed since it is the most delicious beverage ever. ioannisds
I had a student whose uncle went in for a physical one day and his doctor told him his liver was on the verge of sh*tting on him. He was a construction worker, and woke himself up with a Red Bull or two every morning. The day he went to see the doc, he had consumed four. The doctor told him something in the Bull was really bad for your guts in high doses (I think it was the taurine, can't remember). As far as personal experience, I drank a giant can of Rockstar very quickly once, and the next day my head felt like someone had hammered a railroad spike into it. With a bowling ball. MR Bubble
Not to divert from the "Energy Drinks," but I bought a 12-pack of Mountain Dew's "Pitch Black" yesterday for 0.99. With its slight sour bite, it is one of the closest sodas to actual grape I've ever had. Had three of them and was primed all day. Sariél
I try to stick to Absynthe and Whiskey River.Although a Chicory Expresso can get almost get me going in the mourning. (ok, so noon. My hatred of morning is a major reason I left TV and Film and went back into the music business)
