Ghaleon
i've noticed that I often get a nasty, dry cough when i'm smoking Al Wahla. I kind of assumed that this was because I no longer have the steal lungs that I used to, but I just smoked a bowl of al amir and it was perfectly smooth. Does any body else get this? It happens to my friends. the bowl is deffinitely not burning and appears to be smoking properly... Thanks for your time,
iheartvarg1
waha is usually pretty light for me(except straight rose ), but still nowhere near the thickness or smoothness of amir or havana. what flavor you coughing on? maybe its crappy coals or a bad water level in the base? yashman19
I smoke pretty much Al Waha exclusivley, except for this large batch of Al Amir, and I never had a dry coughing problem as you speak of.

Ghaleon
Well crap... i'm only 21 that two years of smoking a pack a day is aparrantly catching up with me faster than I anticipated. viva la smokerslung club!...anybody? I've got rose, Bahraini apple, and bannana and get the same from all three. I'm using golden coals and the proper water level. I noticed another post that said al amir is washed, but alwahla is not... I know that on one hand this affects the nictotine level, but could the washing process be taking gunk off that would cause anyone to cough. dizzing
al waha 5-star is most excellent... southsmoke sent me a free 50g package of it on my last order and it's probably one of the best lower-end ma'assels around (what is the proper plural form of ma'assel?)... definitely the best mixed fruit (or whatever is in it)

Sonthert
I believe Al Waha to be a fine product. In the winter, the weather gets far drier and this more severely affects nicotinated tobaccos like Al Waha. Al Amir is "washed", most of the nicotine is removed, which makes is smoother, but far lower in nicotine (obviously).
