Guest
Hello, I would like to have all videos on the forum that are linked to youtube, google vids, photobucket, etc... be moved directly onto hookah forum. I am trying to build the how-to and review library and get people using the video section more. An easy way to do this, whether or not you still have the original video, is to use a Firefox addon call 'Unplug'. Go to the firefox addon's page and search for 'Unplug' or click here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2254 This allows you to download the source .flv file directly through the browser. (.flv is a flash format all video upload sites convert avi, mpeg, mov, etc to). This works for any video upload site, including youtube, google, photobucket, yahoo, etc... You can upload the .flv file directly in the video section! No need to convert to avi or mpeg, etc... This is extremely simply to do. Unplug is a cool addon too. Thanks, Adrock5150
Guest
Hello, would anyone like to volunteer to find all the linked youtube videos on the forum by doing a search for 'youtube' in the forums and use the tools described in this thread to upload the videos to the forum video section?adrock5150
chromecarz00
Why dont you assign one member to do it for all?
Click
Unplug only works for Firefox 1 and 2. For those using Firefox beta or release candidate 3 you can get the download helper addon which does the same thing as unplug just works for FF3.https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006

Codename067
Ok, so basically download the Youtube version, and save it as .flv then re-upload it to HF?
Guest
Yea, Do a search on HF for 'youtube' or videos.google, etc and find all the links to videos outside HF. Then do exactly what you're saying. adamQUOTE (Codename067 @ Jun 11 2008, 09:20 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Ok, so basically download the Youtube version, and save it as .flv then re-upload it to HF? I will be up for doing that. PS: How does reuploading them go about? Say a video was uploaded by Mush, and I download it and then re-upload it under my name. How is that going to work?
