And today...It came .(The Hookah) pics!

Recommended Posts

This is the story of me recieving my hookah in the mail today and
trying her out. I knew that today would be the day that she would come,
so I came home as soon as possible after class. I took a shower, and
passed out on my bed, with my bathrobe on. At about 4:45, I hear a buzz
at the door. I wake up, and scramble for the door. My robe gets stuck
on a door knob, comes right off, and I smack right into a wall. The
door rings again. Dazed, hurt, and still sleeping, I run to the door,
and swing it open. In my CK boxer briefs.

The UPS man looks at me for a second, casting a confused gaze.

"Just....sign....the ..thing" he says...I scribble on it and throw it
back in his face, and grab the box out of his hands, and wish him a
happy holiday.

I opened her up, and there she was....

She came with 50g of Layalina Orange flavor ma'assel, 6 pack of instant
light coal (which I will talk about in a moment), a pair of tongs with
a crappy needle attached, mouthpieces, and extra rubber gromet thingies
for the clay bowl.

I unpack her and assemble her. She is gorgeous! I rinse out the bowl,
attach the hose...and although I vowed to have my first smoke with
IsraelEnigma, I plunged right in

The hose felt cheap, I will have to get a new one. I loaded her up with
the Layalina orange, foiled it, and went to light the coal. This is
hands down the sh*ttiest coal I have ever used. It took 1-2 minutes to
light it over my stove, and had a slight smell. I take my first draw.
Plasticky nothingness. I keep at it, and the first hint of orange hits
me. It had that "new factory" smell, that didn't go away for the
duration of my smoke.

Layalina Orange - Flavor is strong and tastes exactly like dried
oranges, lasted great for duration of my 30 minute smoke. Flavor was
influenced by the "factory smell" and cheap coal. Smoke was slightly
thin and a tad harsh, I moved the coal, and the smoke turned fluffy,
thick, and white. Harshness was gone. After 10 minutes of smoking, I
felt "it"..so it hits ok.

The coal was horrible. In the beginning it tasted like I was smoking
fireworks. It also burned out fairly quickly. White ashes fell from it
and later were found in the clay bowl.

I will also be getting a new hose because this one feels cheap.

This is my first major post, and I look forward to further enjoy my participation here.

It took 1-2 minutes to light a quicklight coal over the stove? Damn what brand of quicklight was it?

Also that hose does look a bit janky. If you are interested in getting
a new one, most everyone will recomend a Mya Sarah washable hose for
something like 6.99 or 7.99.

Other than that, the hookah looks great. I really like the chambers colors and the shape of the shaft.

Might I suggest giving it a full cleaning though. You said you bought
it on ebay. You never know what they smoked out of it, or what its been
through. Try soaking the chamber/shaft in hot, soapy water for 30
minutes, then rinse/wash everything clean.

Happy smoking jakes, and let us know how future sessions work out with it.

Ahh ok, I guess I just forgot that a lot of hookahs on ebay are sold
through ebay stores and are new. I thought you were buying it from a
single person. So what ebay store did you buy from? Just curious so I
can take a look at what they got.
