mulik51
Hey. In a recent month my friends showed me a hookah bars near me. I really enjoed them and I am thinking about buying a hookah. I want to buy a very well made, pretty, hookah which I will enjoy. I plan on spending about 200$ on it. I don't want acrylic, crystal would be great. I just want it to be personal, which would "live"for a long time, give good smoke, not burn me, so me and couple of my friends could enjoy it. THis will not be a party hookah, so, good care will be taken of it. As I said above, I am new to hookahs, so, I just want some input, as to how lenght affects the enjoemnt, are there any new technologies which I might consider, etc. Thanks a lot in advance, any input would be great, Mulik P.S. Found this on EBAy, tell me what you think... dizzing
that's alright, but the price is pretty steep for ebay. that's a mya hookah - some of the best, most high-tech out there today. i'd recommend checking out their site. for the price you mentioned, you can get some AMAZING crystal vase hookahs, such as this one ($190 plus shipping) there are several others, plus you can buy individual parts and build your own hookah. check it out at www.myasaray.com i highly recommend them, and i wish i had 200 bucks to buy that thing now that you mention it
dizzing
just thought i'd add some info... stupid lack of an edit function mya hookahs are made out of all stainless steel (which is a big plus), and instead of cheap welding jobs to put them together they actually are threaded, and the parts all screw together. this makes cleaning them a breeze, because you can disassemble everything into its most basic components. it also makes leaks easy to fix (if you ever even have one, it's not common however except in a poor setup). the hoses are completely washable and supremely flexible, making them possibly the best hoses on the market today. if you get one from them you absolutely will not be disappointed. Cold493
Ya thats a really nice hookah but the same thing is available for about 40 bucks cheaper on eBay, I know I've been eyeing buyng one for a while but shipping to Canada is obscene cause they insist taht they need to airmail it which is a waste cause you can ground ship things to Canada easily and quickly. Anyways heres the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-28-Mya-Briefcase-G...-Bohemian-Hooka -Hookah_W0QQitemZ5430803221QQcategoryZ596QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ rdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Anyways like he said above, Mya Hookahs are awsome, 200 dollars is a big budget I would suggest getting a nice hookah like the one above and then possibly spending some on tobacco and saving yourself 50 bucks. The only concern I would say about the above hookah is that you dont know what color combo yuor gonna get so the reason it is cheap may be because they have weird combos. Take a look at www.hookahcompany.com and www.socialsmokehookah.com://http://cgi.ebay.com/New-28-Mya-Brie...smokehookah.com under bohemian hookahs and you can pick your setup. Social smoke also has a 15% discount for forum members...I think the code is hookahforum but I might be wrong. Peace.
mulik51
Thanks a lot for the replies. What about the hight of the hookah? What effect does it have? I relly like the one Dizzing recommends, is it crystal? The one Cold493 recommends is good also, but I would want crystal. Also, what about tobacco, which is good, which is bad? The same questions goes for coals... What about this one: http://www.myasaray.com/store/item.asp?ite...em_id=889&depar tment_id=47 Thanks a lot for the help Mulik
dizzing
that one is nice... plus it's actually in stock, unlike the one i linked to :- those two crystal ones are 30 inches... that's about what you want, anything from 27-33 is about ideal from what i've seen, and in my opinion. yeah, they're both crystal, click on the pic of the one i posted and it will take you to the product page (although like i said, it appears to be out of stock). as for tobacco, you'll find as many opinions as there are types of tobacco, and then a few more. a general safe bet would be al fakher, but as for specific flavors you may want to search the forums for some reviews. fakher seems to have the best flavor and consistency. nakhla is great if you like mcdonalds and budweiser... a classic, with a heck of a buzz to go along with it. romman and other premium tobaccos are supposedly variable, like i said, check the forums. tangiers makes some tobacco which is allegedly great. i've only had tobaccos like fakher, al amir (not a big fan, but it was a nasty flavor that i tried), al waha (second to nakhla in the cheap buzz department), splash (which i loved contrary to popular opinion, absolutely the best apple i've ever had)... just as important as the hookah and the tobacco are the coals. i personally recommend the japanese style coals found on southsmoke.com (beware of generic knockoffs of these, the easy-lite brand is supposedly horrendous) or nour finger style coals. avoid sultan quicklight discs, for this type of coal get either three kings or golden, but these will not be as good as nour or japanese. again, searching through the forums can yield volumes of information on all these subjects. mulik51
Allright, one last question: if I buy the hookah above, charcoals and tobacco, and distilled water, what else will I need to use my hookah? What about molassis(however that is spelled) or other sugars? Thanks a lot for all the replies, Mulik P.S. I am a member of bunch of car forums and I know how annoying it can be when new memebers don't search before they post, and start ask very typicall questions, but I really can't come up with a good "search title" to put into the searchbar...so, please bear with me.
