mikeypas
Hi! I know this is a subjective question, i've read many posts about the KM and mya hookah as being very good quality. I've owned around 7 hookah, and the life of them i find to be pretty short. Either the stem breaks , or the metal hose attachment breaks off, etc.. i use the hookah daily, so it's fairly heavy use.what i'm looking for is the most heavy duty, industrial strength, won't break too quickly, hookah pipe.. any suggestions?? I like tall/big hookah, (not mini), so the bigger the better. Also only 1 hose. doesn't need ice chamber or other fancy things.. just good quality /long durable.your suggestions of brand/model hookah would be most welcome! (also, if you include good quality/durable type of hose, i'd be very interested!)ThanksMike
Codename067
Man...that KM Exotica is seriously Heavy Duty. Its the heaviest KM I own, its the biggest KM I own, and it smokes like a champ.
oolatec
Brass Syrian ftmfw. The one I have has a stem that unscrews into a few pieces. Easy for cleaning and storage/transport. Solid as HECK. If you want some details, shoot me a PM.Got mine from the same guy scott got his... although I had no downstem issues.http://www.hookahforum.com/?showtopic=21627

mikeypas
thanks to everyone who replied so far!!1) i'm favouring the large hookah , and the KM exotica 40" and magdy-zidan nerfertiti 48" look droolingly stunning.I saw a thread comparing these two earlier, and it seems quality wise, both are a sure winner. am i correct to assume this? i havent heard of magdy-zidan before, but it sure looks nice. the km has tons of positive comments on this site. am i safe with either choice?2) i don't know much about the technical aspects, ie, which type of stem is better, etc.. could anyone comment on these two regarding which might be more advantageous for durability and .. great smokability??(also, maybe i'm just not searching correctly, but i don't find any mya saray close to this size for nearly the same price range. am i correct?)3) also, i assume that any of the stock hoses would not be optimal. a lot of people talk about the nammor hose. is this considered a good bet to match up with either of these?finally, alot of people talking about the funnel head for tangiers.. i'd love to try this head, but if i don't smoke tangiers alot (not available easily here in canada), can i use the funnel head with AF or nakhla?? (and is small ok for long smoking session, but i don't really want to have leftover for the next day)sorry for the multiple questions (but you guys are the gurus!!!)thanks, mike

Im not so sure too smoking Nahkla out of a phunnel because of its dryness, but you can always add some honey to it. Ive never had AF so i cant comment on that.hope that helps, and hope someone else can answer these too from personal experience.

Bulldog_916
Social smoke sells magdys but they dont list them as a brand name. Get an Egyptian there and you're getting a magdy. World hookah has a Trimetal. Look at the Kahlil Mamoun Section.
NickReppinThe909
my tri metal is solid as hell so i would say go with a tri metal. but why do you need a durable hookah ? are you going skydiving with it or something ?

Canon
most solid hookah i own is my golden tangerine. its 30-32", made of solid brass and i dont see it going to waste anytime soon. the trimetal is a good hookah too but you will have to treat it with some love and polish (or take a green scrubby pad) to the outside or it will start looking bad. trimetal has to be my #2 behind the tangerine. (the trimetal does smoke better and its my baby)

After each session I take out the stem and downstem, and if its late and too lazy to clean it ill clean it in the am and then blow dry the entire thing. I didn't think SS could rust as long as you take care of it.
Kalutika
in regards to the Nammor, if you can try to request one of the new productions. They are still selling some of the old production hoses and they fall apart easily. Mine broke and they sent me one of the new production hoses. Much much better. mikeypas
is it safe to assume (or not) that all KMs are made equal?? I hear great things bout the trimetal, but would there be any difference between that and the exotica?and would it also be safe to compare the KM to a MZ nerfertiti? Its large 48" (would there by any downfall for that size in smokability?)and it seems that most of the sites out there are out of stock on those KMs.. when is this "new batch" supposed to come in?
