There are 4 lounges in my area. 3 use Mya Acrylic, the other uses Traditional Egyptian Hookahs.

Lazy Dayz in Newport News, VA uses Myas.
they say it's because they're easy to clean and hard to break
i agree. i bought a couple myas from them and they are solid, yo.
people say that it's impossible to clean the heart (bell) of a Mya hookah, but i disagree. i clean mine just fine. i can understand why they use them at Lazy Dayz.

The lounges around here use a little bit of everything. I've used KM's, MZ's, classic Egyptians, Mya Acrylics, Syrians, Rotators, and even the Chinese knock offs.

one of the places i used to go to i think uses myas, the other around here uses rotators (getting rid of them because they are leaking now but thats after a year and a half of daily use so i guess on the rotator steriotype they got lucky) and i think they have some KMs and probably a few mix and match, im not to great with the identifying.

Houston hookah bars tend to use acrylic hookahs. More and more lounges are switching to acrylic due to low cost and the acrylics being more durable than glass. I use an acrylic personally as well and it works fine.
