mamajosie
http://www.hookahcompany.com/caramana_khal...h_3207_prd1.htmI like the price and the size since I am new to hookah and don't want a huge skyscraper.I guess I can email the HC and ask but just curious if anyone knows something about it. Also, what is the colored stem section made of - like the "pear" KMs - is that blue thing made of metal or marble or plastic? Just curious. I kind of prefer a solid metal stem I think but just wonder what it is made of. Thanks - Josie Edited June 14, 2008 by mamajosie

It's some form of plastic, but it's not nearly as cheap looking as it is in the picture which I'm sure they had to adjust to make it stand out. Until you actually examine it closely it looks very much like shaped stone. It's actually quite beautiful in person. And there is a pipe runing through the middle of it, so you're still getting a fully metal stem.'Rani

mamajosie
I am tempted, for for some reason the plastic really bugs me. I wish it was all metal. Does it seem odd to anyone else to adorn a traditional handmade item made of glass, metal and ceramic with a little plastic bead in the middle? It just seems cheap to me. I am buying my first hookah soon and price is kind of a factor just because I am not sure how much I will use it and don't feel the need to buy the most expensive one right out of the gate. Maybe I will go with the KM on the rocks one that is the same price and no plastic. Am I alone in my annoyance?

My first hookah was a rotator which is a lot lower quality than a KM, but it had a plastic piece shaped like that km is, and it eventually started to spin on me. So it got real cheap and tacky when it would spin around the stem. On another note I doubt the piece on the km would spin over time, but with all that said I would still like all metal and no plastic pieces because of how much more genuine it would look. Dr. Atkins
Shaped stone or metal that looked like that would be an absolute buttload more expensive, though.

Definitely looks like a KM Pear. Very nice.
mattarios2
Looks pretty legit for the price. 70 is pretty damn cheap for a 29 inch especially being a KM. I think I am still gonna wait for the new ones though, that is 1 of the new ones I guess, but wanna see the rest first before I buy one.

Right up until I saw this really gorgeous pipe with the polymer marble in the middle. And then I changed my mind when I looked at it closely.'Rani
