Hookah Help Needed!

Recommended Posts

White flaky stuff? Got any pics? It could possibly be some glue, but pics are gonna help us better. I say just give your hookah a good cleaning.

As for the Autoseal ports, you should be able to replace the ball bearing in there with plastic airsoft bbs. those are lighter, and wont rust and stick on you. And if you fix the autoseal ports like that, the airsoft bbs work great for the purge valve too.

Hope this helps and welcome to the forum!

as of the problems with the hose adapters it could be because you bought your hookah on clearence...and for the ball bearings you can take some airsoft BB's and put them in...they wont rust and there about the same size....idk if it will work for rotator hookahs but doesnt hurt to try

All good advice. ^mm bb's i think are the standard size. As far as the ball you have, vegi oil works fine but will eventually gum up so you need to clean and reapply the opil regularly.

As for the white stuff..picks would be good. There is no physical way ash can make it down the stem, into the water and back up the hoses.

get some of the plastic BB's that people shoot in aerosoft guns. they dont rust, they dont stick and they are cheap as hell. when snoopy and i were hanging out he got them and i was very impressed with their performance.

Hey Guys,
Same poster as before, but for some reason the forum wouldn't let me log in under the name I just created?
Thanks for the advice about the BB's, i'll go grab some later this weekend.
Here are some pics...

Let me know what you think.

I've never seen anything like that before. Oxidation, perhaps? Maybe even mold?

I really don't feel like it would be mold, the hookah is fairly new (a couple weeks) and I clean it either every use, or every other use. Maybe oxidation though? I e-mailed Hookah-shisha.com and asked them. We'll see what they say.

calcium build up? How long was the water in there? is the water your using really hard?
Try buying a gallon of water from a store and see if that makes a difference. If it does, its something in your water, if it doesent then its your hookah.

I gave it a good cleaning, and used some purified water in it. We'll see what it looks like in the AM. If I don't empty the water out until the next day, could that possibly be causing my problem?

Looks like you need to get a knife and scrape out that junk. Can't be good when your inhaling and the loose particles go into your body, escpeically when we can't pinpoint what it can be. Clean and scrape it out.

deebee did that work? What happened?

I cleaned the hookah, used purified water, smoked from the hookah, and it's back again. I'm really at a loss. I e-mailed the guys at H-S.com and they had no idea what it is either. They said that they were going to ask some of the other people there, and get back to me. So right now, i'm essentially hookah-less and a little bit worried that I have ever smoked out of this thing not knowing what that stuff is.
